high TSH after blood work 36h into a fast

is this normal, note that I faster about 36h before the blood draw. my TSH has never been that high.

Have you ever got a complete thyroid panel? Reverse T3 and both antibody?

yes, antibody negative and t3 below. this was a year ago. TSH was normal too. I made no other changes then the 36H fast this time. also been taking high doses of iodine (lugols), but have been doing this for a long time and prior my labs were normal.

That is a pretty high RT3. You also have to be careful with iodine! How do you feel?

I feel pretty good! i will re-do the blood-work non fasted. I have a gut feeling that the extended fast pushed my TSH up for some reason

Carbohydrate restriction impairs thyroid function and so the pituitary responded appropriately.

did another test, back to 2.5. this time non fasted (altough previous 36h fast ended about 8h before blood draw). still on keto/ketosis (on for months)
