High T-Does This Sound Right...

I resumed TRT on May 7th 2016 after a four month break due to some eye issues.
Started back on 100 mg T Cypionate per week split doses every 3.5 days.
For the next 2.5 months I injected into the outer thigh rotating legs each time.
Both legs broke out into a raised rash so at that point I went Sub-Q one week before my doctors appointment.
On August 29th I had my blood-work done by my Urologist who only does the very minimum.
He called the next day highly concerned that my Total T was at 949.
He asked if I was over doing it on T to which I responded no as I would run out before renewal time.
So my question is would changing from shallow I.M. to sub-q with only one injection before the blood-work raise my T that much....
I have never had T that high before.
Blood was given in trough-No T 3 .5 days before test.
PSA holding at 3.0
I requested estrogen and free t which was denied.
Any way I do feel like crap and wanted some feed back on this.

That in no way that is a "high" total testosterone value - in the sense that a doctor, or a patient - would be concerned. It is entirely possible that your estradiol is elevated. Discountedlabs.com offers you the option of pulling your own labs at a very reasonable price. Have you considered seeking care from another doctor? You're not being well served by your current one. I hope your eye issues have resolved fully!

I get it that a GP or Endo/Uro would think 949 is too high. But it's not. I tend to think that if the provider isn't willing to order tests that you are paying for, then there's a barrier there to your effective treatment that needs reconsidered.

What I don't understand is how can that number be high when the upper range is 1100 (assuming labcorp ranges)....Funny thing is the blood results have HIGH/LOW indicators to warn a Dr if you are outside the range. Geez

Joe, just curious, how does this total serum lab compare to your previous labs? Also, is your free testosterone being factored into these discussions?

I had a female MD tell me 582 was too high. They're just not trained in what they're talking about.

Chris I have not had Total Testosterone higher than 750.
I don't know if it made a difference but I was taking Tribulus once a day working out.
500-1000mg per day.
I was curious as to the sub-q route as far as how Testosterone is metabolized vs I.M..
I don't feel good right now and don't know if my body will adjust.
I'm going to go from 50mg to 40mg twice weekly to see if that makes any difference.
No this doctor would not order the free-t or estrogen.
I hate to say it I use this physician as it is the only way for me to stay on T as cheaply as I do.
I'll do my own labs next week which I normally do once in a while especially Hematocrit and Hemoglobin.

For some reason Testosterone has made my eyes very sensitive to certain lighting such as florescent.
I had two retinal tears back in November 2015 that came out of nowhere.
I stopped TRT until May 2016 and restarted.
Sensitivity returned.
I am trying to find the balance in TRT without adding any more meds than necessary.
So far TRT has hardly added anything to my libido and drive but certainly has returned my strength and focus.
I used to a lot of anxiety and low self esteem but not on T and that is why I like it. Though I am almost to fluid letting things go that may need the moments attention.
