Hey guys,
I just received an E2 result of 72pg/mL on a reference range of 7-42pg/mL. This is an ECLIA test. I do not have access to a sensitive test. I’m hoping I can get some advice. Here’s my situation. Started TRT in Jan with baselines of (same ECLIA tests and lab for everything):
· Test: 310
· E2: 27
· All other labs like BW, lipids, etc., thyroid looked good except very high LH and FSH levels and elevated eosinophils (I have weakened immune system from the cancer I had). That is normal however as I had testicular cancer and had one of the boys removed.
6 weeks in I got tested and after running 105mg test Cyp E03 SQ with 150iu of HCG MWF
· Test: 525
· E2: 31
I felt pretty good at this point, but I never really got that ‘I feel great’ that so many guys seem to get so I decided to up my dose to 116mg E03 and stick with the same HCG. I didn’t get tested for about 3 ½ months until yesterday. I’ve been feeling pretty good, I’ve added over 15lb of muscle since Jan and I’m strong in the gym, but I have a bit of facial bloat and my erections/libido is worse than the 6 week mark and before starting TRT.
I also added in 1.5iu of HGH 6 days a week as prescribed by a local doctor in an attempt to boost my immune system (I get autoimmune like conditions after the cancer). This, after a month of use, has added a sense of well-being and I sleep really well now, but I can’t say it’s helped with erections.
The latest test with 116mg E03, 150iu HCG MWF, and 1.5iu HGH 6 days a week
· Test: 721
· E2: 72
I’m waiting for my SHBG result that will come next week. These tests are hard to do and expensive where I am.
The rest of my blood work looks good. No issue with Hematocrit or bad lipids (my profile did get about 10-15% worse after starting TRT but overall is still in good range).
My question to those with experience: Are there only 2 options to get this E2 back into 30s? Take an AI or reduce the dose? I was hoping to get my T around 700. I have that now but high E2 came along with it. Any other suggestions I could try to keep my T around 700 without having to use an AI? I really want to get back to having better erection quality. I can get erections now but it’s not easy to maintain them and the sensitivity during sex is not as good as it was at the 6 week or before TRT mark. That I hear is a symptom of high E2 as is my puffy morning face.
Also, my research tells me that HGH cannot raise E2, but has anyone had experiences that say otherwise?
And – is 6 weeks really enough time to see E2 stabilize? For example, if I would have continued along at 105mg could my E2 have floated up?
Thanks in advance - love this site!
