Hi all,

I haven't had my consult yet, just looking for some others who seem to be pretty knowledgeable here to give me a second opinion before I really get my first. This is my second set of labs done, both before 9am, both while fasting. First set showed 275 T, here are the second ones. I am 33 years old, 5'11" 195 lbs. Lost 40lbs over the past year, but even when I've been lighter than I am now I would always consider myself "skinny fat." I have difficulty losing body fat, low libido, history of depression. I sleep well at night, find myself getting tired very quickly at night. No sleep apnea. Getting married in the next few months, and my fiancee and I definitely want kids so that's something that weighs on me (fertility concerns) with starting TRT.

Any advice, or insight would be great. I'm trying to read through the site and learn as much as I can, but there's so much information, and only so many daylight hours.

Thanks much!

Pictures aren't sized to be readable, get a few more posts and you can do attachments. Or type it out Total Test, Free Test, Sens Estradiol, SHBG...

Congrats on using Defy they will make you feel much better. Remember to tell your MD that you want kids. You are a low SHBGer. Your TSH is above 3.0 with no other thyroid labs. You have low E2, Low TT and Low FT. You are definitely a candidate for TRT. Thyroid symptoms are also very similar to Low T. It looks like you have both. They will want to run additional thyroid labs. Goodluck

Your labs are hard to read, your shbg is 23.7 which should be good, also your estradiol levels are 9.7 which also is good, you have low testosterone. I definitely would take ratbag recommendation can I get a full thyroid panel.

Whoops sorry all, I suppose I should have looked more closely. I figured you'd be able to click on the pictures to make them bigger...rookie mistake.

I think I can attach the stuff here. Hopefully this works.

Your numbers are very similar to my own baseline numbers, once you begin TRT SHBG will find a new level likely a bit lower than now. It's for this reason why I would recommend injecting smaller doses EOD, I don't feel as if I on TRT unless injecting EOD.

My estrogen was low like yours, but once I started TRT it became very high and unmanageable, we have some who inject daily in order to control estrogen. As for the fertility concerns you can add HCG and FSH to your TRT protocol if your looking to have kids, i would suggest freezing sperm before starting TRT.

TSH is indicating a thyroid problem, so it might be a good idea to run a full thyroid panel checking Free T3, Free T4, Reverse T3 and antibodies to see what's going on, otherwise TRT may not workout like you have hoped. Those who start TRT with thyroid problems tend to feel nothing at all or feel worse, I advise treat both together.

You're in good hands so your chance of success is high.

Thanks so much for all the replies! My consult is in about 2 weeks. I'll do more research and be prepared with questions after doing more research.
