Just got results from my 6 month blood work. Everything looks great, but I can't seem to wrap my mind around something regarding the percentage of free to total test:
Baseline (Quest Lab):
Total: 223 ng/dl (250 - 1,100)
Free: 34.5 pg/ml (35-155)
My percentage of free to total would be about 15%.
Today (LabCorp):
Total: 630 ng/dl (348 - 1,197)
Free: 14.5 pg/ml (7.2 - 21.5)
My percentage of free to total would be about 2%.
At baseline, my % of free to total was way higher (but low when considering the range). Today, my % of free to total is much lower (but in the middle of the normal range). Strictly from a blood standpoint, which is better? Thanks guys.
