For those taking creatine

How many days before blood work stop taking it so it doesn’t mess with creatinine results? I haven’t used creatine for years. Will give it a go again but my creatinine is usually on the higher side (very muscular) so don’t wanna mess with creatinine results

Different thought on testing kidney function...try the Cystatin-C w/EGR test, better for muscular men that can be skewed by the higher Creatinine levels we have.
Search the forum under my name and/or Nelson's name for more info on this test.

I tried 72hrs w/o Creatine (and gym work) and would fast 12hrs prior to those tests and I couldn't tell if that was making any difference, I thought it did but no solid indicators if that worked. Sometimes my Creatinine would come back under the max and sometimes it was over for no discernible reason.

Understanding Your Hormones
