[" It is difficult to buy the argument that fish oil is liver-toxic, as mentioned in the article. "]

Vince, It's more difficult for me to buy the unequivocal safety of consuming encapsulated macerated fish waste. As I've pointed out , if the goal is to reduce HCT or "thin the blood" as op and others inquire no one can say for sure. Lovaza reduces triglycerides. That's proven. Who knows at what undisclosed health cost, if any.

Re-Ride, I use Nordic naturals liquid and it is expensive. I work hard to keep my small LDL particles under control and believe fish oil helps me. I do believe fish is safe, but that's just my personal opinion.

Especially owing to the high cost for a product whose "purification" is kept secret and, unlike medicine, no testing of each batch, I'm left to wonder why you don't just buy lamp oil at the hardware store. Or why not just eat fish which seems the obvious best alternative? Do you have a problem consuming fish protein along with your fish oil?

Even if they produce alleged batch test data why on earth would anyone believe anything corporate america says?

I don't like eating fish, I prefer fish oil. A serving of fish meat is likely to contain far more contamination than a fish oil supplement.

That's the bottom line. Could it be just thinking of a filet as "meat" then finding yourself incredibly disappointed? More or less contamination, are we talking farmed tilapia or wild anchovies?
