First time Trimix ER visit

So my Dr gave me a prescription for Trimex to help with going half way soft during sex sometimes (50 male on test and beta blockers) He prescribed 25 units which he said was very low. Injected it for the first time around midnight. Porn star Hard for 2 steady hours with wife. After it wouldn’t go down. Tried a hot bath, taking a leak, exercise bike and another hot bath but nothing would get rid of this EXTREMELY hard boner. After 4 1/2 hours I go to the ER and by the time I get there I’m in pain from being so hard for so long. I have to wait to see the ER Dr so another hour goes by and I’m in more pain than the kidney stone I had years ago or my appendix attack EXTREME PAIN!! By the time they get in and have to drain it with a huge needle I was around 7 hours I was rock hard (not as fun as you think it would be ). So embarrassing and really ruined what was a really fun night to start with. Everything seems ok now and it works fine but back to the not staying hard after 20-30 mins and going half soft sometimes. Anyone else have this problem? Try 5 units and work up to what works and leave it or are some people just not meant to use it? Btw Cialis and Viagra don’t seem to do anything for me. Should I try Trimex again or am I stupid for even thinking about it?

That amount would also send me, and probably the average man, to the ER. If you had come on here first to ask about that dose, that's what I would have told you - what happened to you is the expected outcome. Unfortunately, you can't just trust your doctor not to hurt you. Medical errors are a major cause of death.

Has this guy ever prescribed Tri-Mix before? Maybe his normal Tri-Mix patients are super elderly and sick? Sometimes those individuals can tolerate heroic doses because their capacity to form an erection is severely diminished.

Your idea to try again at 5 units is a good one. You should also ask for the antidote, which is phenylephrine that you would inject into the penis to reverse the erection. I've had to use that before, one time when I injected 15 units I think.

Another option that I prefer is Bi-Mix, which removes the alprostadil. That's the ingredient that requires freezing to prevent decay, and causes the potency of a vial of Tri-Mix to deteriorate over time, which further confuses things and leads to surprises around potency of a given dose.

Alprostadil is also the ingredient responsible for the absurdly long erections that tri-mix produces. In my experience, Bi-mix only produces strong erections for maybe 1 to 1.5 hrs, even when you use higher doses than needed. There's a greater margin for error with it.

You need to acquire the 'anti-dote' and you'll never have this problem again no matter how much you shoot up with.

Unfortunately, I suffer from the same bedtime issues as you; I sometimes tend to soften up before the deed is done. Part of the problem I think is that as you're humming along you start thinking/fearing the worst instead of focusing on the act, and then that fear creates a self-fulfilling prophecy.

I'm a little envious of anyone being "porn star hard" for two hours, though I am, of course, sympathetic to your dilemma. No big deal though, live and learn . . . start with a VERY small dose and slowly build from there until you find the right balance.

I'm curious about bi-mix/tri-mix because I'm no longer getting a good response from Viagra; are you saying that the little blue pill didn't do the trick anymore for you? How did you broach the topic with your doctor about prescribing the Tri-mix? Any resistance from the doctor? Any concerns or anxiety with putting a needle in your best buddy . . . ?

I started trimix, Dr Calkins said go a .05 and work up to .12. I went with that and .05 gave me enough wood but not great. Went to .08 and it was better. Then .10 amd pretty darn good. Not hang a towel on it hard, but good enough for nice long multi position roll in the hay. Mine is 3 months old now and spent a day traveling to Mexico and then back out of the fridge, which I understand can degrade the potency. I am now doing .16 and getting same results as .10.
Mind you I am on 2 BP meds, one a bets blocker, and anti arrhythmia meds, that is why I had to go away from viagra, it dropped my BP to 90/60!

25 units? Holy smokes! I use 4 to 6 units in a 31 ga .3cc syringe. It works great for me at that dose. 25 units would most definitely land me in the ER.

As Melody68 noted, the “going soft” phenomenon can be a performance anxiety issue. In my case, I can be rock hard (without any drug assistance) on the couch, but the erection fades by the time I’m between the sheets.

If you’re in the same boat, 5 units may be all you need. The Trimix just adds a bit of rocket fuel to an otherwise natural erection. For men who are otherwise healthy, and experience nocturnal erections regularly, 5-12 units seems to be the sweet spot. That’s where I’ve stayed (for years now) and I’ve never had any priapism issues.

As others have said, any doctor who would start you at 25 units, and say it was “very low,” is an idiot.

so I use Trimix, 30 units and am pleased. Try it again and when you are done, take a benedril tablet, it will bring your erection down quickly. After a few months you won't need the benedril, your erection will soften after orgasim. The benefits of trimix far exceed expectations as you have seen, your stamina will increase and you will be able to allow you wife the extra ride she needs to get off. Just get some benedril until you adjust.

Try Bimix?…. Supposed to be MUCH safer.
