Very useful article out in Scientific American RE early dietary recs on preventing CVD, which strongly supports many modern recs and recs of those who understand the variables leading to CVD. Decades of bad advice that lead to perhaps ever greater rates of CVD could have been avoided and 40 year old data supports what we know now. Sadly, the same advice is STILL being given out to people via mainstream media, docs who should know better, and even RDs...The results of this old data will come as a surprise to noone who has taken the time to question the dogma.
