Thanks for queuing me. I find it really hard to believe: a) you're not the one in the minority b) that an anecdotal opinion like yours would hope to influence a medicinal protocol that has completely turned my life around I agree that if you're just a little low in the T category, you have no business starting this lifelong dependency. You should have a medical necessity. I don't know that a lot of people would disagree with that. But the end of your post makes it seem like people who have had TRT positively change their life are few and far between. I really doubt that for those of us who require it. And seeing "scary" accusations like that don't help in a country like the US that could benefit from government officials taking this issue more seriously. To address your last paragraph again: a) I'm extremely happy to be in the minority b) Tell me I'm lying to myself when I've gone from not being able to get it up to now busting a nut without any need for viagra c) The bad stuff was already dominating my days and nights To address the OP, it has taken me over 4 years to get to the point I am functioning again sexually. I'm still not where I'd like to be (when I was having sex 3 times a night for days on end) but at 42 and going through an unexpected loss of normal function, I don't expect to either. I can have sex every other day at this point just fine. It will take many cycles of adjusting medications, seeing how you react, taking blood tests, and talking to your doctor...but it can get better. I'm surprised even 4+ years in, I'm still seeing positive improvement in my sex life. Best of luck to you, please realize it's probably going to be a long journey (and I know that doesn't make you feel better). As an aside, I spent too long on gels that didn't do anything, and am so glad I switched over to injections.
