DHT results

I just got the DHT results from my recent blood test. My results were:

DHT 2.7 nmol/L Range 0.4-2.5

So I'm wondering what steps I need to take now, if any, to get my DHT back to a normal range?

You are slightly above range.....what is it that worries you?

I am already predisposed to male pattern baldness. It hasn't progressed to badly over recent years. However since starting trt, I really feel like there has been some progression of my MPB. Obviously, this is not desirable and I'd like to stop this if possible.

As you may know ones genetics have the biggest impact on whether one will experience MPB.

Hair loss is more complex than just DHT as even though testosterones metabolite DHT (dihydrotestosterone) plays a role, the sensitivity of ones AR (androgen receptor) is important as even men with lower levels of DHT can still experience hair loss.

I would suggest some topicals, have you tried those? Nizoral shampoo has a rep for fighting thinning hair...trying to manipulate DHT I think would be a bad thing thru Propecia/Finasteride, or even Saw Palmetto.

Regenepure dr shampoo (w/ nizoral) or topical azelaic acid are a couple options with reasonable costs. It’s too bad the empower pharmacy topicals are so expensive.

You could try subq if you're currently doing IM injections or consider slightly lowering your dose.

Thanks for all the replies and advice, information. I am doing subq currently. I'm assuming based on your mention of this that subq someone helps to lower DHT? I will start looking into all those products and info mentioned above.
