DHEA causing bloating

Hi All, did anybody ever get a bloated feeling from DHEA? This is only my 4th day in a row taking it and I feel it’s giving me a little bit of a bloat.. I guess this could be from E2 conversion already??? I am only taking 40mg . Definitely can tell that I already feel softer and weaker when working out. I don’t know if this is all in my head or DHEA just ain’t for me ...

It could be increasing your estradiol levels, I would stop supplementing with it and see if that makes a difference.

How are you taking it? Cheap OTC tablet? Micronized capsule? Transdermal cream?

well that's less likely to aromatase, but I typically advocate that 40mg is just too much, I recommend guys start with 5-10 and see how it's tolerated. Some guys like and some don't I never did, I think it caused me all kinds of problems or atleast never helped anything.

Ya I see what you mean. My testosterone is already at a great level anyway so there really is no point of me taking DHEA If it's going to make me feel worse. I am def going to discontinue usage of it. Maybe I might try 5mg but I think it's best for me to avoid it all together

Understanding Your Hormones

Estradiol (E2)

A form of estrogen produced from testosterone. Important for bone health, mood, and libido. Too high can cause side effects; too low can affect well-being.

DHT

Free Testosterone
