Dr Justin Saya and his team spend a lot of time with patients to review their health and options to improve it. I have worked as a consultant for them while they set up their monitoring and evaluation systems and have been extremely impressed. They have reasonable rates compared to many of the TRT clinics popping up everywhere in this country. They follow the latest protocols based on emerging clinical data.

You can see Dr Saya speak about different issues like testosterone replacement, HCG, estradiol, erectile dysfunction, Sermorelin, fat loss, HRT, and other topics in these videos:

I served as their consultant for 4 months and I am friends with the owner. I know many patients that Defy assists, but also know a few good physicians across the US who can also help. Anyone coming from the forum receives a significant discount on the labs/consultation. [email protected]

Dr Lipshultz, Salvato, Gathe and others in Houston are pretty progressive about TRT and side effect prevention/management.

Could someone please describe the process of long distance medicine? You send them an email, they contact you then what? Specifically wanting to understand how they order labs, work with your own physician, and cost comparison?

Thanks Nelson. I'll reach out to Dr. Lipshultz.

Since December 2013, I've been treated by Dr. Sean Breen, who is affiliated with Defy. If you're looking for a SoCal doctor, I highly recommend him. My intake visit with him lasted 3-1/2 hours, and my follow-up at 7 weeks was another hour-and-a-half. He also follows up by email periodically to see how I'm doing. Quite a contrast to the standard 10 minute visit with the local primary care physician. His website is http://www.doctorbreen.com/

/creepy question

Since I couldn't find a doctor in New Orleans to treat my low-T, I decided to utilize Defy. I've been very impressed with their high level of professionalism, VERY impressive customer service, and the fact they are serious as you have to see your local physician on a regular basis in order for Defy to treat you. I'm looking forward to seeing how they can help me improve my quality of life.

I am new to all of this and I have a couple of questions I hope someone can help me answer. I am 57 and just recently I bought testosterone gel and tried it for a couple of weeks just to see if it would help me with my mood, energy levels, libido etc. After just two days I was totally blown away by how good I felt. I felt a profound sense of well being, an increase in libido and overall energy, and my sleep was unbelievably deep and long - and I have been a poor sleeper for the past 20 years. So, needless to say I am now looking for a HRT clinic. Two questions for the community - I have about one week left of the gel to use. How long should I wait when that is finished before I do blood testing? Second, any recommendations for a doc in my area? I live in Hartford CT.... Many, many thanks for this forum and any help I can get...

Just became a Defy patient, and have been very pleased with Dr Saya, nurse Jill and all clinic staff. Although everything can be handled by phone, I decided to do my initial consultation in person. Dr Saya was very knowledgable and spent close to an hour with me answering questions and making recommendations. I didn't feel rushed at all and I'm sure he would of spoke with me longer had I not ran out of questions. I don't want to give out specific pricing because different people will have different protocols and I figure if they wanted to list prices they would do it on their website(a lot of great info/vids there), but I will say this concerning costs: meds are a la carte and their is no contract, test/hcg/dhea+pregnenolone plus 2 sets of BW/consultations was 1/3 of the cost of another "all inclusive" clinic I visited. I give them a 5 star rating!

Big Worm, thanks for the report and perspective.

My own personal note, I have also decided to make the switch to Defy. I've been with my other clinic for at least 4 years and some, so these decisions don't come easy. However, Team Defy is just that GOOD, and they are a great business model design that will do nothing but improve! I signed up with them a few months ago and got on the CALM therapy with Mag & Gaba, which gave me a good feel for their customer service, shipping, etc. They're first class, and they have all the bases covered!

Got lab reqs printed and ready to go to Labcorp, I just need finish out a business trip this week, and I can settle down and get this wrapped up next week.

Vettester, that's saying a lot that a guy with your trt experience is switching over. I'm so new to this I didn't really know what to expect but comparing my experience with Dr Saya to my primary care doc I was very impressed. What do you know a doc that actually cares about patients.

Yeah, I know, what a novel concept!!

Again, the business model is solid, but they still continuously look to improve and expand, e.g., Dr. Crisler joining forces with Defy! Hell, what does that say?? That guy is an icon in the industry!

Maybe some of those GP's we all know will pay a little closer attention to the Defy model, and understand the people really do like great service, attention to detail, and yeah a little respect back and partnership-like style. While all of these other doctors want to tell you that E2 tests are not necessary, 400ng/dl serum is "FINE" or "In range", or that HCG is for junkies (that's what an endo at Kaiser told me in 2009), there will be a blossom of clinics and specialists that can treat patients properly and with dignity!

Then within that framework of these clinics, there will be a few like Defy that will know how to refine, define, and adjust their business model to adapt to the continuous changes in the market. Just because it's a medical related operation doesn't mean that customer service shouldn't be factored. Mainstream medical has never really understood that ...

I live in Fairbanks, AK and can whole heartedly recommend Dr. Saya and the Defy staff. They make it easy to do business, get your required blood work, schedule your follow ups at a time convenient to you and order and ship your prescriptions at a very reasonable price. With only 1 urologist within 300 miles Defy is a god send.

Im on the other coast and a Defy paitent. Dr. Saya is sharp, every question I had about panel numbers he addressed without asking and had logical answers and reasoning. Definitely the way to go!

I placed an order for oxytocin in the morning and had a tracking number in the afternoon. Also Chelsea Dunning the patient intake coordinator was very helpful and awesome to work with.
