I read for years that medicinal mushrooms like cordyceps are very good for you. Reisha is another that comes to mind. I supplemented with cordyceps a few years back but stopped after several months of not feeling any benefit. It might have been good for me but I couldn't feel it.
I had a similar experience with cordyceps as MarkM. but I was not on as long as he, nor was I doing much endurance activity, which I believe it is suppose to help with. I did find Reishi helps calm me and increased sleep performance. (i used four-sigmatic brand...good brand, but very expensive!) Noticed with-in a week of consistent use
Everyone is different, give them a shot. I would continue use for a couple months before deciding though
