Compounding your own Armidex

My pharmacy only has 1mg pills. I bought a 50ml nip on vodka and dissolved 5 pills. 1ml should be .10mg of adex, right? Does anyone else do this?

A few people do this 5ml and 5mg tabs would give you .10 on a 1mL syringe

If you wanna be precise remember that after adding 5 1mg pills to 5ml of vodka you will have more than 5ml of vodka + anastrozole mixture. So you have to adjust the math slightly

doesn’t that only happen chemically speaking when you don’t have enough solvent to suspend whatever chemical you’re mixing into it?

i get that, but your initial wording. however with such a high concentration (1 mg per ml) is there any concern of losing the medication in the syringe.

@5mg per 5ml the solvent would be super saturated there wouldn’t be molecule space to suspend the medication.

My doses are miniscule, so for accuracy I dilute at 10ml vodka to 1mg tablet. This is the same ratio as your first post. Works for me, and I would not want to try to dose accurately with 1mg/ml.

Yes at that concentration you would draw 1cc/ml for 0.1mg dose

I find it helps to thoroughly crush the tablet, and shake well before drawing doses.

I am not concerned over the negligible amount in the tip of the syringe, nor the volume displaced by the tablet itself. It is close enough.

I also use a one mg tablet in 10 mL of vodka, which makes it easy to take 35 mcg daily.
