Been looking for data on Indian generics for a long time. Many complaints on weaker strength compared to name brand, but looks more like an issue of dissolution. Don't know if it's a credible source nor have I had time to read it completely. Wanted to get it posted before I forgot. Found searching for info on Tadora by Cipla.

Great find, buddy!!

I changed the title and added the tables to attract more guys to read.

It looks like the brands Viagra and Sildigra did not do well. It seems that Cialis companies/brands are more trustworthy.

Thanks!

Actually for the tadalafil, this looks pretty good. Close enough for me. Point of clarification, though--- isn't a more accurate term "generic"? They're not counterfeit per se if they don't represent them as being the name brand, right?

A generic drug must be bio-equivalent in terms of active ingredient. These clearly are not.

Not to split hairs, but actually it depends on what your definition of "is", is. I was told just last week by a pharmacist, the definition of "generic" is different in some other countries than it is in the US and Canada. He said in North America, generics must indeed be exactly bio-equivalent. In India they just have to have the same active ingredients. So these would be considered generics in India but not in the US & Canada. By that definition in North America, I suppose maybe you could call these "counterfeit" generic tadalafil? But still not counterfeit Cialis, for example.

Hey thanks Nelson! Would be nice if there was a few more common Indian knockoffs in the study. Most I haven't seen in my internet travels. a few though!

Hey CW, how do you know that?

"A generic drug is identical--or bioequivalent--to a brand name drug in dosage form, safety, strength, route of administration, quality, performance characteristics and intended use." http://www.fda.gov/Drugs/ResourcesF...afely/UnderstandingGenericDrugs/ucm144456.htm

From the FDA's Center for Drug Evaluation and Research:

http://www.fda.gov/downloads/Drugs/DevelopmentApprovalProcess/SmallBusinessAssistance/ucm127615.pdf

The preparations charted above contain, to a greater/lesser extent, the generic ingredients that comprise the brand-name drug. However, given that they are not bio-equivalent in terms of that ingredient it's not appropriate that they be referred to as a "generic Cialis" (for example). Though we all do so.

So those are showing a 100mg tablet actually has XX milligrams of the drug...interesting data. It seems the Tadalafil varieties are much better in that regard.

Man you guys are on it, that is really interesting to see those numbers on the Cialis/Tadalafil tablets and definitely not what I expected given so much of the negative feedback posted online regarding potency.

I have the Suhagra and Silagra both by Cipla. Look same except one is purple, one is blue. Both work great. Must be a marketing thing because one is more expensive. This stuff is so cheap, I have overstock. Expired, but still working. Also have Vailf by Ajanta. Seems to work good, but haven't had brand for awhile for comparison. Waiting for a Stendra generic.

Thinking about trying Cooper Tadalafil that ironsmith mentioned in his thread, but a little nervous about the Cooper brand.

Cooper pharma 20mg Tadalafil tablets test at 99.9% purity, in fact 1% higher than branded Cialis. I am one of four people I know personally now using it and the results are everything you would want them to be.

I wouldn't switch from the Ceebis made by Cooper unless it became unavailable for some reason but my second choice would be anything made by Cipla Pharmaceutical.

Cipla is a world class state of the art company know world wide for their outstanding R&D capability and life saving drug treatment interventions in poor 3rd world nations it is a brand you can trust with confidence.

I have switched all my purchased or co-pay prescriptions other than Cooper Ceebis just due to the cost difference to Cipla medications and everything is as good or better than the brand names in the US.

That's some awesome feedback ironsmith....thanks!

Are the Ceebis round? I read you were splitting them into quarters. Is that working okay?

I should add I got my Suhagra's from safe4medsforall and the product was manuf in '16 with 2019 expiration dates, very smooth buying experience, no troubles at all using the e-check payment.

The Ceebis tabs are oval, what I have found is my local CVS sells a good/better/best pill splitter and the best model has a sliding centering device that allows perfect halving of the pills and quartering of them from there.

The secret is to apply barely enough pressure to split the pill, any more force on the blade doesn't make a clean cut and a q-tip swab to clean the leading edge of the cutting razor every 5 cuts or so keeps the splits clean and neat with no waste.

The e-check payment and service from ADC has been as close to perfect as one can expect with overseas EMS shipments. No issues in Customs at all, 13-15 days from order time to delivery. I've communicated with their CS a few times to get more information on prescriptions they offer and communication from them has always been professional, timely and accurate every time.

ADC is not just in the ED meds business as most of the other popular suppliers that you see recommended on forums, and their prices with delivery are less on everything I have compared them to with Cooper and Cipla produced meds.

Watch some youtube vids and read articles from foreign news sources on Cooper and Cipla, its amazing to see these state of the art drug companies overseas doing business in an environment where healthcare is considered a human right and necessity versus our members only system of healthcare. Considering they manage to conduct business in a cost controlled market their achievements are commendable.

The global lifesaving humanitarian work these Indian drug companies participate in is nothing short of amazing and their R&D capabilities, manufacturing and quality control abilities give US drug makers a run for the money any day of the week.

Here's a Ceebis tablet on the splitter with it's packaging shown:

Great post Ironsmith, what a wealth of information. Appreciate you taking the time to share you experience. I have a CVS around the corner. I'll get one of those splitters. I'm going to try the Ceebis.

Ironsmith, if you could provide a source on that information on cooper tadalafil being 99.9% purity, I would greatly appreciate it. My wife is concerned that it is not safe compared to brand cialis. We’re trying to get pregnant
