Clomid - Is This Dose Excessive?

Happy new year Guys,


New member here, got a question for you Dr Saya.
My Total T has been hovering between 250-400 over the past 8 months.


I'm working with clinic for clomid restart.
Here is their prescription:


4 – 5000IU vials of hCG
2000IU of hCG every other day for the first 20 days
60 – 50mg Comiphene Citrate (Clomid)
2 caps of Clomid daily for 30 days
90 – 20mg caps of Tamoxifen Citrate (Nolvadex)
2 caps of Nolvadex daily for 45 days


I felt that this full blast dosage is excessive for my situation.
They said this is all they do for everyone. A one size fits all hard reset.
I'm 37, never been on trt... But I guess it doesn't matter, one size fits all.


This question is directed at the doc, however, all opinions and insights are welcome.

That regimen is excessive, across the board with the HCG, Clomid, and nolvadex dosing and is similar to ill-informed bodybuilder PCT cycles. Equivalent results can be achieved with MUCH lower doses and far lower risk of side effects (especially visual side effects from the Clomid...that's a whopping dose - 100mg).

I hope this causes you to consider finding a new physician. Cookie-cutter protocols are all too typical of many clinics "specializing" in TRT. They specialize in making money at the expense of men who went to them in good faith.
