can metformin lower testosterone?

I have been on enclomiphene for the past couple months and my testosterone went from 259 to 224. I was expecting it to raise my level. I thought I saw somewhere that metformin can lower testosterone. does anyone know if that is true?

Yes, metformin will lower your testosterone. At least short-term, long-term is still being studied.

ok, thanks. I think I am going to stop metformin or just go with the minimum dose. I thinking having testosterone is more important that metformin which I was taking off label anyhow since I dont have diabetes

It definitely tanked my levels (see below) and I would advise the anyone who's not T2D be aware of this and perhaps not take it unless you're hormonally optimized (on TRT).
