Can I divide 250mg Primoteston Depot into 2 x 125mg doses?

Hi all,

The prescription I have for my TRT protocol is Primoteston Depot- a 250mg TE redi-ject made by Bayer (see photo below).

I have been advised for a more consistent TT level and better E2 management I should divide the large 250mg dose into smaller more frequent 125mg doses.

Is this possible with the Primoteston Depot redi-ject?

Can I pull the redi-ject plunger out and load 2 separate syringes with 0.5ml and use this way?

Will the second injection be sterile if stored in the fridge?

Any advice would be appreciated- thanks.

I'm not completely familiar with the "redi-ject" application method ... The photo looks like it comes with a standard twist-lock needle?
Either way, maybe one option to look at would be to do a sterile transfer to a new vial. The vials are easy enough to get, wipe it and the needle thoroughly with an alcohol pad, and just transfer over to the new vial. The concept being somewhat similar to the reconstitution process with HCG, just no mixing, etc.
Another thought ... With a vial application, you wold have the ability to lower your dosage rate, say even in the 60mgx2/wk range (if desired), depending on where your expected target serum level is set. HCG can obviously factor into that equation just the same. Keep your free/bio test in mind when looking at the big picture of this, as that is a variable that can be adjusted over time if it's low, and it can impact your actual testosterone activity rate in the body, without having to stretch the limits of your serum level in supra elevated category. This also will give you a better handle on your E2 management program, working in conjunction with the more frequent, lower dosage administration regiment.
Keep us posted if possible ...
PS: No storage in the fridge, just keep out of the light in a dry, room temperature location (65F to 75F works great for me).

No one can assure sterility on your manipulations. I use the same formulation 1ml glass ampoule, injecting 0.3-0.5 ml SC, discarding rest of the vial.
The better way to go is a multi-dose vial from the same manufacturer. Check availability at your place. http://www.texxgears.eu/index.php?route=product/product&product_id=211

Awesome- thanks for the reply Vettester.

The sterile vial sounds like the way to go for me- allowing the smaller doses for a more stable T and better controlled E2:)

Thanks Eli1947, that was what I thought- once opened and stored the sterility can not be guaranteed.

The 10ml TE vials sound great but they would be unlikely to survive through customs here in Australia.
