BloodTestsCanada.com - BlueHorizons (Canada)

Hi everyone.

Thought I'd contribute to this section by letting everybody know I've used this online company 5 times in the past year for bloodwork and each time went smoothly.

All you do is select the test you want, pay (including with Paypal) and print off a requisition (or upload online) to Dynacare labs in your area.

Within 24-hours I can typically see my tests on Dynacare Plus website and I get an e-mail with results from Blue Horizon's shortly after.

Very convenient for monitoring testosterone/HRT without the hassle of a conventional doctor's request.

This needs to be a sticky.

Where have you been all these years on here?

2018/2020!

I use the same service. It helps keeping track on Estradiol All though they do not offer the sensitive test. Service is great and quick.

Actually they do, but it costs a lot more:

I have been using this site mainly for the E2 readings. Did a few in the past few months. Astronomical high E2 in my case at 298 pmol/L, dwindled down to 149 pmol/L a month later after reducing my HCG dose. Not sure how accurate it is but it certainly matched my symptoms.

Being able to test the E2 in live time is invaluable service for me.

Totally gouging what the private market charges here in Quebec for bloodtests but without a doctors req, that service is not available to us so BloodTestsCanada it is.

All blood testing at Dynacare Laboratory. Service is not available in Quebec so I drive across the border to a small Ontario town to get it done there.

They never did until recently and even then I would not up $220+ for such!

If it is ones only option and they want to dish out the $$$ so be it.

Just recently they also jacked up their prices for TT from $99--->$127.25, estradiol standard $99--->$117.25, SHBG $99--->$117.25 and FT $99--->$137.25.

Insane!

Top it off that as I have stated in previous threads no one should be wasting their $$$ on the FT test they offer through Dynacare as it is the calculated free testosterone (cFTV) which is available online for free!

Not sure how it works in Quebec but in Ontario as long as you have a requisition from the GP requesting the sensitive assay and since OHIP (Ontario Health Insurance Plan) does not cover it you can still pay out of pocket and get it tested through Dynacare for $72.75!

Totally agree with you. I had a urologist in Saskatchewan until I moved back to Quebec who was bright in hormones but still doesn't have the background the pros on here do as he just doesn't see enough cases. Now that I'm in the Montreal area, there is a lot more options but private ones which is new.

Came across a site called Science and Humans which offers 13 blood markets every quarter and smart ones that HRT-trained physicians would scan for. Cost is $200 per quarter which includes a consult. Seems the blood work is done on a provincial req so I'm only paying the 'consultation fee.'

Leaning towards switching to that service and giving it a whirl. The price of the bloodwork alone 4x per year makes it worth the cost over paying almost the same amount to Dynacare/BloodtestsCanada for a single test at my choosing. So far I paid the $50 and received a provincial lab req from a Quebec-based doctor and will soon have a consult with them online.
