Below Average Body Temperature

Is a body temperature consistently in the 97's or lower a pretty clear cut indicator of hypothyroidism?
Or could it also possibly be adrenal fatigue / long periods of chronic stress?

I typically have a body temperature around 97. I also normally have a very low resting heart rate. Since starting TRT my resting heart rate has increased but I haven't really taken my temperature since.

I'm curious about the same thing.

A definite maybe. In my younger years I had a body temp of 98.6. Now I run about 1 to 1.5 degrees cooler and no matter how much thyroid hormone I take (within reason) it doesn't increase. So for some reason, other than thyroid hormone status, my body temperature set point is lower now.

Dr. Denis Wilson makes a seemingly credible argument that low body temperature inhibits optimal body performance. He has a free e-book on Amazon that is frankly a marketing tool for his $20 book on Amazon. If you have low body temperature combined with the symptoms indicated in the free book, you will likely find the $20 purchase worthwhile.

Understanding Your Hormones

Estradiol (E2)

The biologically active form of testosterone not bound to proteins. Directly available for cellular uptake and biological effects.
