The order was received from Costco via mail. Biting the 6 mg caps yields a clean tasting mild product. This compares favorably to Bioastin 4 mg caps which have a fishy taste. Its far to early to report any perceived benefit from this specific product.

Astaxanthin is primarily extracted from cultivated biomass of the microalgae Haematococcus pluvialis which is first grown is a green phase then subjected to stress of nutrient deprivation and uv exposure.
