Anastrozole in vodka dosing question

I'm in the process of dialing in my anastrozole dosage (no M.D. or prescription). At first, I was crushing the 1mg pills and measuring the desired dosage using a mg scale. This is a bit of a hassle, though, creating bindles to hold the doses and I always lose some medicine in the process.

Then I read about dissolving anastrozole in vodka. I've made a 1mg/mL solution and have been dosing from that using a measured dropper. So far so good.

The issue I have is that the pills don't dissolve entirely. There's always powder sitting at the bottom of the vial. I can shake the vial before dosing, but within a few seconds it starts to separate. I'm afraid I'm not getting an accurate dose this way. Can anyone provide insight here?

When I did this i noticed the separation and I'd just use the tip of the dropper to scrape the bottom and swirl it around to a uniform consistency and draw it up right away. It's imprecise measurements but it's plenty good enough when it's all you have and need dosing < 25mg. Even cutting the tabs in 1/4s isn't real accurate. I used to like making more of this like 3ml/3mg at a time.

Before last week, I was getting an accurate dosage by crushing the pills into a powder and measuring it out using a mg scale. I know most people don't have one of these on hand, but I do and it seemed a logical way to go. The downside is that I lost about 10% of the pill through the process because the fine powder clings to surfaces as you work with it.

Ive used the scale measurement too and noticed the same kind of waste. Are you crushing the pills and then adding Vodka?

No, the crushing was when I was dosing with the powder. For the vodka solution, I just drop a pill(s) into the measured vodka and they slowly dissolve on their own.

I always crushed mine the bottle of a shot glass (ha!) and then added the measured Vodka, I thought it worked better than dissolving a whole tablet.

Can vodka be used to dissolve Cialis in a similar fashion? I had no idea you could do this with anastrozole

The question is why...Cialis is avail in 5/10/20 tablets that are easily cut down if need be whereas the 1mg tabs of anastrozole we're only doing this because you can't reliably cut it beyond a 1/4tablet when you need <.25mg dose or need larger doses like .30mg, and so forth. I don't why you couldn't do a Cialis this way but to me I'm not seeing the reason to need to it.

Could it be possible that the undissolvable particulate is the binders/fillers (inactive ingredients) used when manufacturing the pills?

I ordered mine from a UGL that came in 20mg capsules, so I'm working with powder, not tablets.
