Alcohol's effect on Estradiol

I'm still new to TRT and still learning about blood level-symptom correlation. For example, do I like lower or higher estradiol.

My estradiol was in the mid-20's last BW. Over the July 4th weekend I drank like a fish (not proud of it but it is what it is). Anyways, for about 4 days after, my libido was sky high and had an erection non-stop. I am wondering if the alcohol caused an estradiol spike for a few days that actually benefited me. Or does it not work that way. And I'm not suggesting that I begin drinking non-stop, but it might offer more of a clue into how I should alter my treatment. I don't take an AI either.

To tell you the truth, I am wondering the same thing. I have heard on more than one occasion that alcohol increases aromatase activity via its influence on the liver, but I've never found anything concrete or really showing exactly how many drinks it takes to increase aromatase activity by X amount, or anything like that. Do you know where your e2 levels typically sit?

Well I just started TRT 4/27/2017. Before that I was on Clomid about 3.5 years. I had my first BW done on 6/15. My E2(Sensitive) was ~25, Total Test. ~650. Low SHBG at ~16. I would give exact numbers but on mobile. My protocol is T-cyp 70mgs and HCG 500iu -- both E3.5D. No AI. So I think I can def increase my dosage, and probably make it more frequent given the low SHBG. I was actually anenic coming into TRT, so don't have to worry about the high hemoglobin and all that.

Gene, that makes sense. Thank you. Once this dopamine rush ends, I would think that prolactin might spike up for a short period causing a decrease in dopamine? I had high prolactin at my last blood draw and can recall drinking quite a bit a few days prior to that BW.

Ejaculation certainly raises prolactin if occurring 24 hours prior to a blood draw, too.
