Advice please; considering changing from Gel to Injections

I have been on Testogel for 2 years now and it seems to have worked well, but now in the UK there are Supply problems with this brand and due to this I was considering changing over to injections.
.
My consultant Urological Surgeon has in the past suggested and offered 3 monthly injections using Nebido but I have read that there are many "Highs & Lows" with these intervals even with the 6 weekly booster.
.
I have a further consultation in June and I am going to ask if he would consider Testosterone Cypionate doses ranging from 100-200mg every 7-14 days.
I have read on this forum the majority of guys normally inject 50mg twice weekly and I will also suggest this or at least put it to him and see what he recommends.
.
Obviously I am a beginner with injections, this will be new to me and I suspect the testing of bloods will be more frequent to start until I am on a steady cycle
..
I am looking for any advice on this as well as how to approach this subject with my consultation in June. This consultation will be private (I will be paying) and then a report is sent to my NHS GP (my practice doctor)
.
again all advice greatly appreciated, the gel I am on does work for me and my bloods are good but supply of this Testogel is getting difficult and that is why I am looking to change over.
.
Even if I inject for a year, I can then decide which is best for me, injections or Gels
.
thank you all in advance for any advice given.

If you have not got a copy of Nelson's book, then I would suggest you get one.
A LOT of good info for you and your ERO.
I do well on compounded "T" cream.
Do they have pharmacies that compound meds in the UK.
May be an alternative to Testogel.

I can only add my personal story. I had been on Androgel, various strengths for over 5 years. Last script was for 3 pumps 1.62%. My T had risen from a low 200 to mid 400's. I just didn't feel like this was working well.

The killer was the $. After my deductible & insurance, my monthly cost was going to be nearly $400. I consulted with Defy, now inject HCG + Test. It is less than $100/mo. Oh, and my T levels are now into the 800's and feeling better.

100 mg a week testosterone cypionate divided into two injections a week is a good low starting dose. You can later add in HCG and increase your dose of testosterone to get dialed in.
