A Question About Low Ferritin.

I have had some strange symptoms lately. Feeling very tired along with body aches and general itchiness all over. At first I thought dry skin but its really beyond that. Had a blood test on Friday and my ferritin came back low at 12. I was surprised because I haven't had to donate blood in about a year. I was low in the past when I was donating every 3 months but assumed that would normalize since I haven't donated.
My iron is 92, ref range 49- 181
TIBC 437 ref range 261- 462
Iron Saturation is 21%. ref range 20-55
HCT 52
HGB 17
RBC 5.9
My iron seems normal, with the exception of ferritin. Do I need to supplement with iron? My concern is that any iron supplementing will skyrocket my HCT

If you don't get ferritin up, you're looking at iron deficiency. I notice my HCT is 3% higher at baseline when compared to pre-TRT and before iron deficiency.

Understanding Your Hormones

Estradiol (E2)

The biologically active form of testosterone not bound to proteins. Directly available for cellular uptake and biological effects.
