Hi everybody,
I'm reviving this very, very old thread. Hope you guys don't mind.
When I first created it I was just at the beginning of my TRT journey here in Spain, and today it's exactly 8 years (to the day) since I wrote that original post.
Despite the initial doubts about the...
Many on keto/paleo/low carb diets think calories don't matter. They still do. I'd double check your basal metabolic rate and make sure to create an adecuate caloric deficit throughout the week.
That was basically my situation when I started TRT almost 3 years ago.
Although Total T was in the 500-600 range, my Free T was really, really low (can't rememeber right now, but it was low even for a 60+ y/o man and I was only 40 at the time).
SHBG in the mid range.
E2 at the high end.
My...
To the original poster.
I would find a 1x week dose of T that gives you a decent and consistent trough reading. Then split that into 2 or 3 injections a week, as preferred.
From personal experience, the first couple months of TRT are often a bumpy ride, as your body is adjusting to the new...
Honest question, coming from someone who makes a living training other people. Why do you work out so much? That much cardio and lifting everyday? Why? It's probably not doing you any good, either because you're not giving your body enough time to recover or because the intensity of your...
When I started TRT 2 years ago, at 42 y/o, my total T was at about the same level as yours (500). In my case the problem was that my Free T levels were very, very low for my age.
Don't worry too much about staying within the ideal fat burning zone. It's more effective to focus on the total caloric expenditure of your training session instead.
You need to talk to a doctor and base your treatment on the results of a complete blood panel.
Usually a TRT starting dose is 100mg a week. Upper limit is usually 200mg a week. Each person responds differently to treatment.
Again, find a new doctor.
That feeling in your nipples is quite normal at the beginning of your TRT journey. It's usually a sign of your hormones adjusting to new levels.
Regarding your dose, 250mg of T at once is too much for most people. I had the same exact experience. After a single 250mg shot I felt amazing for 3-4...
Moving from 150 to 200mg a week is definitely not a small increase. That might have been too much and caused some side effects. My bet is your E2 is elevated now.
I live in Spain and sadly this seems to be true. I'm currently using Testex 100 and I have plenty of extra vials, but it's a unfortunate situation nonetheless. I hope the manufacturer will accordingly increase production in 2017. Interesting that demand increased so much though.
Consume unprocessed foods most of the time. Drink plenty of water.
Each meal should be based on some lean protein and plenty of vegetables. Add fruit as snacks throughout the day. Add "heavier" carbs (rice, oats, quinoa, sweet potatoes, etc.) only on the days you're more physically active. If...
It MIGHT be some kind of body adaptation to TRT (I remember freaking out a bit during the first few weeks, while my body was adjusting to the treatment), but also related to your E2 levels. Why are you taking an AI in the first place? Did the previous blood tests justify that choice?
Been slightly adjusting the dose on a weekly basis since one month ago, although the feeling of improved well-being when switching protocols is something I noticed early on during my TRT journey (started about 1.5 years ago).
Since I started TRT all my blood tests have always showed a very good...
Personally, I don't need very much Test to get to supra-physiological levels.
I've observed my body responds in an almost perfectly linear pattern between weekly dosage and through blood levels (using an E3.5 protocol).
80mg -> 800 T
100mg -> 1000 T
150mg -> 1500 T
My prescription is for...
Far from drawing conclusions, but from personal experience since the beginning of my TRT journey one thing I've noticed is a clear feeling of improved well-being/libido during transition periods every time I've changed dosage/protocols.
Found this old post by Dr. Marianco on a different forum and I thought it was interesting enough to share. Ideas? Personal experiences?

The following is fairly speculative.
High levels of testosterone for long periods of time, can, I think, result in...
