Don't know how common it is, but the same thing happened to me. Although in my case my TRT doc made me get a urologist consult when my PSA rose above 4.0. In my experience urologists are very quick to suggest a biopsy - I elected to get a prostate MRI instead and that satisfied my TRT doc.
There are a couple of good facebook groups where they discuss the questions you're asking. There is also lots of good info here: Rapamycin Longevity News
I had an MRI 3 years ago because my PSA had been trending upwards. At that time my PSA had gotten up to about 4.4 and I was getting up to pee 2 or 3 times per night. The MRI showed a slightly enlarged prostate but nothing suspicious. For the last couple of years my PSA has been bouncing...
In my case it was my thyroid that was causing pretty bad brain fog. All my thyroid levels were "within range" but barely. My doctor started me on 25mcg of T3 and the brain fog lifted almost immediately.
I've been using edibles (THC) to help stay asleep for about a year. Prior to that I would routinely wake up after 2-3 hours and have a terrible time getting back to sleep. With the edibles I now usually sleep 4-5 hours uninterrupted - sometimes 6 hours if my stress level is not too bad. If I...
I've been taking T3 for years. The reason I asked the question was because my TRT doc initially put me on T3 only at ~35mcg/day (split dose) and as high as 50 mcg. 50 mcg put me slightly over the lab reference range, but 35 mcg keeps me mid-range. A few years later my primary care doc...
Dr Rotman in Nassau County. He's pretty good, but his office staff is terrible. I could not deal with them so I went to Defy. You may have better luck.
Does anyone have experience with Dr. Schlegel? I'm looking for a urologist in the NYC area that will not jump straight to a biopsy for an elevated PSA test result.
I split the dose. These days I take 25 mcg upon waking, then another 12.5 mcg mid-day. Occasionally I will forget to take the mid-day dose if I'm busy, and have never felt any worse than if I had remembered to take it.
I do, but only because my Primary Care doc insists on it. Early on when I was just taking T3 prescribed by Defy, my FT4 level was about 0.8 and my PCP thought it needed to be higher. After adding 75 mcg of T4, my FT4 actually dropped to anywhere from 0.4 to 0.6. I feel no different with or...
I started supplementing with T3. 25 mcg at first, then bumped it up to 50 mcg. Before starting this my Reverse T3 was 23 and my TSH was 3.5. After taking T3 for a while my Reverse T3 fluctuated in the single digits. My understanding is the lower the Reverse T3 is the better. Any my TSH...
I came across this article a few years ago when I started looking into my Thyroid levels and symptoms of fatigue and brain fog. It explains the interconnection of Free T3 vs Reverse T3. You may find it helpful.
I'm doing about 80mg/week (daily injections of 11-12mg) and will occasionally add HCG for 6 weeks. I feel no different with or without HCG, so I tend not to add it all that often. Similarly I feel no different with 80mg T-Cyp or 120mg T-cyp. So I decided over the last couple of years that...
My wife has been taking Semaglutide for a few months and is down about 25-30 lbs without any of the unpleasant gastric side effects. Her doc told her that when she reaches her target weight that she would be switched to a maintenance dose. I don't know whether that means the same dosage less...
50 mg did nothing for me. 75 mg was a little better. 100 mg gave me a pretty good nights sleep, but I was a bit groggy the next morning. Hope it works for you.
Yes. I rotate all of my sleep "tools" from day-to-day so as not to develop a dependence or tolerance to any one (either physical or psychological). Currently my toolbox includes ambien, trazadone, xanax, klonopin, advil (slows urine production), edibles, and a few others.
For me, if I take Lunesta there is no doubt that within 20 minutes I will be sleeping. I can't seem to go more than 3-4 hours before waking up to pee, and am able to easily get back to sleep. I prefer Ambien over Lunesta only because of the bad taste from Lunesta.
But as others have...
Both work for me. But Lunesta leaves a terrible taste in my mouth the next day - bad enough that I don't use it anymore. I need 100 mg of Trazodone for it to work, but the groggy feeling the next morning is a problem.
Ibuprofen helps me sleep by slowing down urine production. Without it I have to pee at least once/night and often twice, and once I'm awake I always have trouble getting back to sleep. When I take Ibuprofen I can go 6-7 hours without having to pee. So its another tool I keep in my insomnia...
My wife started on Semaglutide in May of this year. She was more than 50 lbs overweight and was never into exercise. At first I didn't think it was working because she had absolutely no sides and seemed to be eating whatever she wanted. Since then she has lost almost 25 lbs and still dropping...
I've been taking Telmisartin for over 10 years starting when I was in my late 40's and my blood pressure was around 160/90. With 80 mg Telmisartin/day my BP is good, usually in the range of 130/80 or lower. I started TRT about 4 years ago and my BP did not change much. However over the last...
