    Joint Pain and Supplements

Yes, i am (more 'was') also concerned about possible toxicity. I'd been taking 5000iu for many years, but in the past year my rheumatic thumb joints have been causing me a fair amount of trouble. I found out about a dr using 30000iu plus to treat autoimmune diseases, and started looking into it...

    Joint Pain and Supplements

I had a similar 'conversation' with chatgpt yesterday, started by asking for any clinical evidence of the effectiveness of cissus quadrangularis for joint pain. Then got onto its evaluation of the high dose vitd3 i use to combat the rheumatism i get in my thumb joints. Here's a copy/paste if...

    Examine.com Releases Their *** Report on 4/20

Ah yes, i can imagine. I was looking as i'd just ordered some *** flower to try in my dry vape. I usually have a small amount of regular, hybrib weed before bed. I've tried c*d before as oil caps, and wasn't impressed (this is the UK though, so not going to be the strength or quality you get in...

    Examine.com Releases Their *** Report on 4/20

I find it odd that the letters 'c' 'b' & 'd' get edited/censored to '***', but THC doesn't!! Might explain why when i tried to search it on the site, i got no results, but searching the site through google gave results (as ***)

"We value your privacy" pop up

Over the last week or so i get the accept/decline cookie pop up on every page i go to here. Even after i've selected 'accept' or 'decline', once i go to another page, i get it again. Is there any way to stop this?

Vitamin D Status Determines Cardiometabolic Effects of Testosterone Replacement Therapy in Men with Late-Onset Hypogonadism

The study above though is relating to people on trt - a reduction in LDL levels in those on trt only with higher vit d levels was one finding

    Methylene Blue

Totally agree with you about serotonin. Years ago, my gp at the time prescribed me an ssri (paroxetine) when i said i was having trouble sleeping due to stress. "You'll feel great too" he told me..... Second worse med i've ever taken (i binned them after a few weeks) - only one worse than that...

    Methylene Blue

What a coincidence - i was reading this thread earlier today. @Guided_by_Voices mentioned Chris Masterjohn a couple of posts above, who i follow and get emails from. And just now, he's sent out a really long email all about methylene blue. I can copy/paste it if anyone's interested, it's long...

Warning for Men on TRT: Low Ferritin is Bad

Blimey, that's a bit scary to be honest. It's great the way it comes back with answers in a conversational way, like chatting to a friend. Just it's one of those friends that aren't as bright as they think!!

Warning for Men on TRT: Low Ferritin is Bad

I gave chatgpt the link to your site, asked it to read what's there, then give me an easy to understand summary instructing how to raise ferritin on trt. This is what it came back with..... ChatGPT said: Testosterone Replacement Therapy (TRT) can lead to erythrocytosis, a condition...

Warning for Men on TRT: Low Ferritin is Bad

Thanks for that, some great info there. I actually already do some of it (been a supplement junkie since childhood) - i take around 600mg of magnesium a day (glycinate / malate / citrate combo), currently 10,000iu vit d3, vit k2 (mk7 plus mk4), 200iu mixed tocopherols, cod liver oil for vitA...

Warning for Men on TRT: Low Ferritin is Bad

I'm actually having to go in tomorrow for a blood test and to have my blood pressure taken. They've been texting me for the past two weeks to book myself in, but because i ignored them, yesterdays text said they couldn't issue my next prescription until i've had it done (i'm on ramipril for...

Warning for Men on TRT: Low Ferritin is Bad

No idea tbh, i don't think i'd take dietary advice from any of the doctors from my gp surgery though. For starters, most of them are obese. Recently, after trying to peddle their statins on me due to slightly elevated cholesterol (i refused them), i was asked about my diet. I mentioned i eat...

Warning for Men on TRT: Low Ferritin is Bad

Having just read through (most of) this, i thought i'd ask chatgpt about ferritin levels and thyroid. Gotta say, it's good fun using AI, (although i do know the answers to questions aren't always right). You said: Do ferritin levels affect thyroid? ChatGPT said: Yes, ferritin levels can affect...

    THC - indica for sleep?

I've vaped a small amount of weed (indica dominant) before bed for a few years now. Great sleep aid in my opinion, as long as i don't have too much. In the past i've used ghb for the same reason, but that's not an option anymore unfortunately.

Advice About Hematocrit and TRT Dose

I was getting hct readings like yours, until i realised i hadn't drank enough fluids before blood tests (as i didn't want to be bursting for the loo on the way to the hospital). I was regularly getting hct readings of 0.51 (51%), but after drinking more before going, readings now come back much...

WAS: 5 months post stopping TRT cold turkey bloodwork , NOW: Wife No Longer Wants Sex

No, i can't understand why some men get married more than once. If a relationship's strong, why should it need a legal contract? I think if you're planning a family, it's a good idea. But if you've done all that, and then the relationship's ended, don't get burnt twice! As to your sex dilemma...

WAS: 5 months post stopping TRT cold turkey bloodwork , NOW: Wife No Longer Wants Sex

Sorry for also 'highjacking' OP's thread, but the sexually non-responsive partner subject is just too important not to comment on. As far as i'm concerned, when you marry, you take a vow to be in a monogamous relationship with your wife (or husband). What you DON'T sign up for though, is to be...

Salt, Healthy Blood Pressure Levels, and Libido: Highlights from the book The Salt Fix

I don't think it's added to water in all areas of the UK, but where i am (West Midlands) it definitely is. I didn't realise that the tap water in the USA had fluoride added to it too, but according to wikipedia it does: https://en.m.wikipedia.org/wiki/Water_fluoridation_by_country

Salt, Healthy Blood Pressure Levels, and Libido: Highlights from the book The Salt Fix

Thankfully we all have a choice when it comes to salt (unless you live on packaged meals or take aways). I'm more bothered by the fluoride added to our water system here in the UK. The Britta filter i use won't remove that, and reverse osmosis filter systems are very expensive.

Salt, Healthy Blood Pressure Levels, and Libido: Highlights from the book The Salt Fix

All i know is that if i have a very intensive workout and i've sweated a lot, if i don't take extra salt with my water, i'll be getting cramps later on. There's nothing like waking up at 3am with cramp in a calf, throwing yourself out of bed, then getting another cramp in the thigh. This was a...
