New Blood Work - Can someone review it and tell my why im impotent -Updated with bloodwork

Hi everyone - been awhile. To the OP, when I was trying to get back on track, It took 6 months + as others have said. I also found TRT was just one aspect. I had to eat healthy and work out with intensity, as much sleep as I could get (this was a important factor - watch for sleep apnea), and...

    Anxiety- monoamine oxidase?

It could be environmental, such as work or school. Many people find their anxiety decrease or go away completely on vacation or on the weekends.

TRT to Supraphysiological Levels for Body Building

OP, I noticed greater gains, faster recovery, and more energy when I was at 1000 then in the 600 hundreds. Being at 1000 was not intentional. I prefer to stay in the 600 range. That being said, I would not go on TRT for that reason if you otherwise have good levels. It is a pain, costs...

    Inositol

I am taking this as a test to reduce serum iron. https://www.amazon.com/gp/product/B0013OVDYY/ref=ppx_yo_dt_b_search_asin_title?ie=UTF8&psc=1 But not 18 g per day ! No major side affects - maybe tired during the day , but I am also putting in some extra hours at work in the morning so could be...

    Anxiety- monoamine oxidase?

Have you checked estradiol? Does your anxiety go away when you are on vacation or during long weekends?

    5 Months in...

Hi Steve. In addition to the other great advice, you can consider surgery. My secretary and her brother both got it. He was in the 300s and both have had a huge improvement in their life and lost weight. I have worked with her for 13 years, every work day, so I know the struggles she had and...

How (I think) I was able to control my Hematocrit and High Iron

Look up anemia. When your ferritin gets that low, you have to stop donating. Why are you donating?

How (I think) I was able to control my Hematocrit and High Iron

Lactoferritin is interesting because it helps absorption, but then other studies says it chelates. I need to research this more. I have HH and while ferritin is easy to stay on top of, saturation in serum iron is really a struggle and unhealthy when high. I am unsure how lactoferritin will...

    Large dose reduction

Understood. My thought was that your large dose reduction caused you to feel different, and perhaps that snow balled a bit into increased anxiety so the large drop in dose was the reason. Then the Dr. has you on three different meds and these sides can overlap. You are in the best position to...

    Large dose reduction

If you are low on iron, you should get a full iron panel. If you can't get the full panel, then focus on Ferritin. Ferritin will be the most important as it is an indicator of iron stores, which your body draws on to make new RBC.

    High E2?

I am certainly not an expert, but if you were taking 1 mg AI weekly, that may be too much. Then, you took another .5. So 1.5 mg AI in a week for a T levels of 733. Might be too much AI and causing your E2 to be too low. Others more knowledgeable than me will comment. I agree with systemLord...

    Large dose reduction

If you read the side affects for these items, many match up with what you are complaining about. Have you consider if these may be causing your unwanted feelings?

High Estradiol - Labs - Advice Request

Good info. I will look into PFS more closely if it can occur even when DHT is in range. I don't want to cause myself more problems down the road. Any thoughts on the high E2 or use of AI? Thanks.

High Estradiol - Labs - Advice Request

Thanks Vince. I was hesitant to go on it as I don't want crash DHT. That study that was linked was interesting. In that study the dose was 400% high than my dose, if my math is right, and at that dose, the DHT levels listed were below the normal range. I read that dutasteride can cut DHT by...

High Estradiol - Labs - Advice Request

Hello everyone. I have been away for a bit. I need some help with labs and advice. My recent labs had some values that were too high. I am male, early 50’s - 6’4” – 218 lbs – 17% body fat, in gym about 4 days per week. For years I was at about .21 ml (200mg/ml Test Cyp) every 3 days (SubQ) for...

    Restrictions on Doctors prescribing TRT

No. My GP prescribed T when I was in the 300's. Insurance denied coverage - they just don't want to pay out. I paid cash for the prescription. My GP moved. I visited an Endo and same thing. Just depends on the Dr.

    Quick Defy Medical Question

Thanks all. I have a local endo that seems good, but I will have to pay for labs, which for the labs he wants is about $320 with discounted labs. In the past, insurance paid with my GP running the labs, but he ran very few. Good to get another full set and a better set of eyes on it than my...

    Quick Defy Medical Question

My local doctor moved to Kansas. Hated to see him leave. Quick question, are the cost of labs in addition to Defy's schedule of charges for new patient appointments? If figure it is, but wanted to check. Thanks.

Effects of 8-hour time restricted feeding

Same. I lost the most weight when I don't eat after dinner, work out in the morning without eating, and eat more protein and less carbs.

Reducing ferritin levels to lower the risk of heart attack and cancer

Thanks for posting Vince. I have hemochromatosis and I have been wondering where to maintain ferritin. This study has great info that the upper levels of the accepted range are to be avoided. This is another good example of where the 'normal' or acceptable range for blood work is not the best...

    TRT & Hair Loss

I too am having TRT related hair loss. I also notice that my hair has become thin and fine. It was in the past very course and straight. I have backed off the doze and using Rogain. Waiting a few months to see if that helps. Like you, I will avoid oral Finastrade. Next step will be a...

Doc prescribed Test Cyp and nothing else

When I inject IM in the thigh, I separated each thigh into a top, middle, and bottom location. I would rotate between leg and location. I looked at diagrams of the muscles in the thigh and then I would flex, see the muscle at each location, watch as it moved when I relaxed, and then inject in...

    New Forum Section: Mental Health

That is an interesting concept. Just like physical health, to maintain mental health there are things you should do and things you should avoid - and most people don't think of it that way. You're right, mental health is variable can can be improved or can be made worse.

Whey isolate, casein, 4% cottage cheese...Insulin response?

Not all whey isolate is the same. Lactose upsets my stomach. Even though it says isolate, it can still have lactose in it, which I believe is a sugar. I have found that this product. Isopure Zero Carb Protein Powder, 100% Whey Protein Isolate, (unflavored) It does not have lactose (and zero...

    Muscle and weight

Agreed. BMI says I am overweight/borderline. Even my doctor said ignore BMI. Whatsup, do you have access to a body fat test? My only advice keep working out - cardio and lifting, and eat less, with more protein/whole grains/veggies and less sugar and processed grains. From your posts it...

latest Defy consult going to everyday injections

Moose, interested to see your results. I recently adjusted to 10 mg per day subq. I was at 100 weekly 2 injections per week but E2 and T was too high. Was good around 80 per week with injections two times per week. For me, too soon to see if I like it. Injections are fast and easy but bit...

Doc prescribed Test Cyp and nothing else

The first few self injections are stressful if you are anxious about it, but if I can do it, so can you. Watch some youtube videos. Sit on the side of the bed, use a small needle and try subQ or the thigh. Have your cousin there to help the first few times. Be positioned so if you faint you...
