Hi everyone. At my last checkup and round of BW, i mentioned to my doctor that i recently have not felt as great as I once did on TRT.
He asked me some questions on my physical symptoms, and although my BW is all within good ranges, my Dr suggested that I may benefit from supplementing HGH...
At my last follow up, my doctor told me I should start to take periodic breaks from HCG. He said I should think about taking 1 week off HCG a month. Can anyone chime in here? Any truth or justification to this?
I take 150 test cyp/week and 1000iu of HCG/week. All my BW is in range and I feel...
Energy - slightly better. But still feeling run down.
Libido - sex drive is higher for sure. Performance is back to normal. ED issues seem to be resolved. Performance anxiety has been reduced. Morning erections came back, nighttime erections too! I don't feel 18 again, but I feel 10 x better...
In regards to estrogen levels... can anyone chime in on my Estradiol level? 174 (<200) pmol/L
I know this is below range, but it is also not the sensitive test (which I can not get). Can someone explain this test/range and advise if I am at a good #?
I noticed the same - but with no frame of reference in regards to my last rounds of testing. Regardless, I think I should make a trip to the blood clinic soon.
So question... how often should TRT patients donate? Is there a common timeframe that is used? Every 3 months? 6 months?
Over the last three months, I have been on the following protocol:
EOD injections - test cyp 40mg + HCG 250 IU, and no AI. Both injections, sub q in my stomach.
As a result, here is my resulting blood work (and ranges)... please note that my tests are coming from Canada, where the test...
At the end of the day... all is good. My freak out and worrying was all for nothing. I reviewed my results, with my Dr, and the issues and concerns were all from my testosterone, and Free T, going slightly over the upper range.
All other BW came back in good ranges. I plan on posting on a...
I asked. They refused. The nurse claimed that I was unable to have my results until I went over them with my Dr. Then I could have a copy if I wish.
Part of the joys of "free" Canadian health care - I need to play by their rules. But I really shouldn't complain. My labs are free, and I have...
I talked to the nurse and she claims that she could not give me any info over the phone, or until the Dr is present. Which I understand.
I had full BW done two weeks ago. I do not get the results directly. I only get them through my Dr. I will not be able to review the results until...
My Dr's office called me tonight (Easter Sunday when the office is closed) and told me that my Dr got my latest blood work and wants to see me right away. The earliest I can make it in is on Thursday.
In the mean time, I am freaking out. Why would he need to see me so urgently? I fear...
For those with a lower SHBG (such as me), it has been advised by many to increase the frequency of your testosterone injections to utilize lower (and more frequent) dosages (EOD, E3D, etc).
That being said, let's say I am on an E3D testosterone cyp injection cycle (50mg), how should I...
Thanks again. I really appreciate your input. So then in your case of injecting EOD, can I ask when you time your HCG throughout your week (2x week) to avoid that spike? Do you take your HCG subq? Or IM?
I am doubtful on subq injections in my stomach as the best option. I still feel that IM or shallow IM (similar to what you are doing) will be best for me.
I see that you posted you inject 50mg EOD, 500iu HCG 2x week, and no AI.
In regards to your HCG... have you ever tried, or considered...
Thanks for responding ERO. I have followed some of your threads very closely, as it seems as though I have had similar experiences as yours - especially in regards to the challenges of low SHBG.
That being said, can I ask if you are on EOD injections? And do you use HCG as well?
Gentleman, for your thoughts and consideration...
Former protocol (Round 1):
T-cyp 150mg/weekly (IM inj in thigh - 23G 1"), no HCG, no AI
First of all, I knew nothing about TRT when I first started back in May 2015. I had moved my T levels increase marginally from mid-200's to 433 by...
Thanks for your input and opinion. It makes me feel so much better knowing that others have been through similar mental struggles and are now feeling better. Thanks again and good luck to you.
Harsh, but true. So true. I made the choice to feel this way.
I am having trouble accepting my body is declining. That this will be my ongoing reality. In order to feel better.
Over the last 3 months, I have tried to believe that I can turn this around naturally. The truth - at 37...
UPDATE: I have been fully off TRT for over 3 months. And... I feel worse than I ever have before. Weight is coming on non stop. Energy is going down. ED is now becoming a huge issue. My libdo is there, but things aren't working as they used to. Sleep is disturbed. Hot flashes too...
Thanks for your feedback again. I will post my TSH, free T3 and T4, rT3 tonight when I get home. Seems like my first immediate (and logical) step would be move towards small and more frequent injections.
I will also check to see if PSA was included in the testing.
Any thoughts on my drop...
You are correct. One injection of 150mg/week. I have debated going to 100mg E5D as I hear that some are doing. But I truly believe what you are saying, and if I choose to stay on trt, I will not be doing 150mg once a week. I know that this has contributed to my issues. Perhaps my biggest...
Thanks for your response. I truly appreciate the support of others with similar experiences, as I feel I currently have very limited options. And no, I am not in the States, I am in Canada. TRT clinics are very limited where I am, so a family physician is really all I have.
Here are the...
So here is my story... I am a 37 year old male diagnosed with low T in May 2015. For years, I had all the classic symptoms of low T (but did nothing about it), and after a routine doctor's visit and another round of annual blood work, my blood work came in at a low T level 233 ng/dl.
My...
