U-Shaped Association Between Testosterone and Fractures

It would be interesting to see how many of the men were TRT. And what they're bone strength was before starting TRT.

U-Shaped Association Between Testosterone and Fractures

We now know that low levels of testosterone does cause issues. High levels we don't know, high levels are definitely much better than low levels. When I have my next wellness exam. I'm going to get another bone density test.

    Blood panel, how's mine look?

The idea of a U-shaped relationship for longevity is being refined, the current understanding suggests that low testosterone levels are associated with a greater risk of mortality, particularly from cardiovascular disease, while the evidence for increased risk at the higher end of the...

AI Overview When androgen levels are low, androgen receptors act as solo molecules, promoting cancer cell growth and spread. However, as androgen levels rise, the receptors form pairs, creating a form that inhibits tumor growth. This mechanism explains why, paradoxically, high androgen levels...

    Blood panel, how's mine look?

It turned out to be rather simple. When androgen levels are low, the androgen receptor is encouraged to “go solo” in the cell. In doing so, it activates the pathways that cause cancer cells to grow and spread. However, as androgens rise, the androgen receptors are forced to “hang out as a...

In particular, a previous study positive associations between high levels of free testosterone (not attached to any proteins) and insulin-like growth factor-I (IGF-I) and increased risks of prostate cancer. It is thought that the link between levels of these hormones and prostate cancer may be...

A 2011 meta-analysis published in the Journal of Clinical Endocrinology & Metabolism summarized findings from several studies that looked at the relationship between testosterone levels and mortality in men. The meta-analysis, which included 12 studies and over 16,000 men, found that low serum...

Thankfully I've never smoked haha. What percent of men actually get lung cancer from smoking? 10% maybe 20%? Hopefully we're not comparing TRT to smoking. I still believe twice a week injection does work on most men. Some like me who has a very busy lifestyle, many children, many grandkids and...

I do agree with the anxiety issue. Some men with anxiety, trt can help others it can really hurt. If someone has anxiety issues like Cataceous, you need to start very low. Let their hormones adjust slowly. Thankfully I do not fit in that box and have zero issues at least up to this point in...

Still you can't group everyone as the same. I started with 70 mg of T twice a week along with 500 IU twice a week. All my brain fog was gone. It was amazing. For whatever reason I was in great shape before TRT. What really helps me is creatine. As you may have read in my threads, it healed my...

I'm so sorry you feel that way. I will never believe like you do that one size fits all. Not every member gets anxiety I've never had but I do know people that do. They're not even on TRT. I was waiting for you to speak up when Nelson said he's taking 600 mg of Co q10. I'm sure his levels are...

    Blood panel, how's mine look?

Yes. there are members like you who need lower levels. My understanding is anxiety can be terrible and if someone needs lower level to combat anxiety, I'm all for it. This one size fits off doesn't work for me.

I disagree 100% with your theory. Lower testosterone levels equal better health. There's so much you're missing.

    Blood panel, how's mine look?

Of course I know all of that. I do you know a man who injects 200 mg of testosterone every two weeks. He loves how he feels and will not change his protocol. I know you've been around a while. I'm sure you have met people just like I have. They may not follow your protocol or my protocol. I...

    vo2 max+ weight training = health

    Blood panel, how's mine look?

I think we both know people who do great on 200 mg of testosterone every two weeks, men who do good on 100 mg once a week and men who do good of 50 mg twice a week. There's also men like me who do good on every protocol. I know I'm exaggerating on the last one but it seems like it's true.

    Blood panel, how's mine look?

High doses failed you, correct? Many men had lowered levels when they were young so of course when they use TRT they must still aim for lower levels. Your levels are not much higher than when you originally started TRT. Is that correct?

Yes, I inject 500 IU of HCG every third day. I combine both HCG and testosterone in the same syringe, like Nelson

    Blood panel, how's mine look?

I would say your panel looks pretty good. I do agree with you injecting twice a week. You may want to add in HCG. I think eventually you'll need to add HCG just to keep your testicles full, along with a good libido.

Shorter men may have a protective FOX03 gene:

For longevity, men who are shorter tend to live longer than taller men. Studies suggest that men under 5'4" or even 5'2" may have a protective advantage, potentially due to factors like the FOX03 gene and lower fasting insulin levels, according to Healthline. The FOXO3 gene plays a significant...

Understanding Your Hormones

Estradiol (E2)

A form of estrogen produced from testosterone. Important for bone health, mood, and libido. Too high can cause side effects; too low can affect well-being.

DHT

Dihydrotestosterone is a potent androgen derived from testosterone. Affects hair growth, prostate health, and masculinization effects.

Free Testosterone

The biologically active form of testosterone not bound to proteins. Directly available for cellular uptake and biological effects.
