    A Cautionary Tale...

I do have some feedback on him that I'd like to share. But first let me talk to Nelson and get another second opinion before I share. I just want to be sure that my feedback (both good and bad) is coming from a well-informed place, if that makes sense. Thank you again for the recommendation.

    A Cautionary Tale...

Hi All: I had an appointment with Dr. Rob and also got updated labs. Will share on those shortly, but I'm still waiting for clarification from Dr. Rob on something. In the meantime, I think I need another opinion... Any other doctors that anyone can recommend? Is there anyone on this site that...

All, thanks for for the feedback. I'll report back after I got new labs and have discussed with Dr. Robert Kominiarek. Will keep everyone posted.

    A Cautionary Tale...

Well the idea is to start with with the medications that seem to have coincided with my drop in libido, which was ozempic. i'm not at all ruling it out, though, and will definitely give that a try should stopping the ozempic not work.

No change yet from the ozempic.

    A Cautionary Tale...

Not yet. I've been off the ozempic for maybe 1-2 weeks to see if that changes anything first. I'm also going to have a consultation with Dr. Rob Kominiarek. Hopefully he'll have some insights.

@BJE @madman Thank you for your insights. Sorry it took some time to respond. Sometimes Excel Male sends me a notification; sometimes it doesn't. By the way, one thing I've neglected to mention is that I've been in a caloric deficit for some time since I'm on a cut. In the past when I've cut...

@madman thank you. so, in your opinion, my symptoms are not related to my hormones? @aloetard do you agree? @Systemlord thank you. i'm going reach out to him.

    A Cautionary Tale...

@aloetard and @madman please see attached. I went through and added the reference ranges and assay types. Couple things to note: I double and triple checked and all the units listed across all the tests for FT was pg/mL. This is the case even with the order of magnitude difference you're seeing...

@aloetard I just saw the rest of your post. Let me read through it. Please ignore my last post. Will read through yours first and understand it better. My bad.

    A Cautionary Tale...

I'm sorry. I'm not fully familiar with all the terminology. I'm attaching August 2022 (Labcorp) and January 2023 (Quest). As you can see, the free testosterone listed for both is in pg/mL. But that can't be the case since because of the order of magnitude difference in the numbers. This was...

    A Cautionary Tale...

@aloetard and @sammmy : I think you're misinterpreting my last comments. I don't want to get on TRT. It's actually the opposite. If you read my original post, here's what I wrote: "My doctor (not a TRT clinic, but an actual doctor) put me back on clomid to see if that helps. If it doesn't I...

    A Cautionary Tale...

Thanks, will order the test. Are there any doctors you guys can recommend, by the way? Looking for someone, ideally in California, that has deep knowledge on all of these biomarkers, hormone abnormalities, treatment options, etc. etc. Someone who can take a look at everything and help with a...

Thanks for the detailed reply @madman . And yes, @aloetard I'm willing to put in the work! How would I go about getting this test. Is it this? Quest Diagnostics: Test Directory

    A Cautionary Tale...

I take ozempic for weight loss. I have an eating problem. In the past, I have noticed that whenever I'm restricting calories, my libido drops, which is normal. But it recovers shortly after (even if I don't increase my calories). My guess is that, for those who say ozempic reduced their libido...

    A Cautionary Tale...

Here is a list of all my medications and supplements. My libido has fluctuated starting 2 years ago and worsened ever since. Basically dead over the past couple of months. Ozempic: 2 years. Statin: maybe 5 years+. Seroquel (likely getting off); newer but taken after sexual side effects had...

    A Cautionary Tale...

I was put on statins due to high cholesterol. I'm open to listening if you think I should get off them. I should also note that I've been on ozempic for 1-2 years now. Also some psychiatric medications. But I've been taking those for years now, so unlikely to be them. Even though they are...
  19. L

    A Cautionary Tale...

Interesting. I'm reading more into it. It appears that statins can affect libido specifically through hormone interference. So if my hormones are fine (as you say they are, or if I fix them through clomid or TRT), then, theoretically, they shouldn't be the cause or should be counteracted...

    A Cautionary Tale...

I see. Well if you count OTC vitamins and supplements, I'm still on vitamin D, CoQ10 (to counteract muscle loss from cholesterol medication), a multivitamin, and fish oil. Do you really think any of these could play a role? I find it highly unlikely, but open to your thoughts.

    A Cautionary Tale...

I used the free T calculator. It was 15.2 then vs. 13.7 now. So, according to this calculator, not much of a difference. But the labs say otherwise, so I don't know... And I already have stopped all supplements and medications. That's the issue. I've been off everything for over a year. This is...

    A Cautionary Tale...

Thanks for the reply. Got it. So what do you suggest then? My free T may not be very low objectively, but it is MUCH lower than it used to be and my SHBG is higher. My thought is that there's a material difference from before making this a unique imbalance *for me*. How would I test my nervous...

    A Cautionary Tale...

Thanks for the kind words Nelson. I appreciate the willingness to help. Here's a breakdown. I've been off everything for over a year now. Attached are my labs over time in case you'd like to look at the fluctuations. June 2022 was when I was on the clomid. I think it's the combination of low...

    A Cautionary Tale...

TLDR: I fucked up my hormones because I didn't listen to everyone on the site, and now I'm paying the price. Stay away from hormone treatments if not medically necessary. Hi Everyone, I'm here to post a follow up to two posts I made a couple of years back as a cautionary tale to others who...

Sorry, here's the correct version with the updated units: SHBG before: 37 nmol/L vs. after: 45-47 nmol/L FT before: 14.8 pg/mL vs. after: 21-23 pg/mL I have 3 separate test results: one from February (before clomid), one from June (after clomid, before anastrozole), one from August (after...
