Waking up to urinate 2 or 3 times during the night?

Definitely not the case with me. I'm down to once a night, and sometimes none (rarely). Prior to Metformin I was peeing 2 times a night, sometimes three.

I Haven’t Slept in 4 years. What to Do?

Similar thing happened to me a few years ago. I didn't go to the ER but probably should have. These days I take a nibble of edible candy and it definitely helps me stay asleep. Any more than just a nibble and my mind is racing for most of the night.

    Metformin Lowers Testosterone?

Vince - Are you saying that A1C will continue to drop the longer you stay on Metformin? I began Metformin a few months ago and my A1C dropped from 5.6 to 5.3, which is great however if it continues to drop I would be even happier. I was surprised that by blood glucose did not change at all...

    Hypothyroidism

There are normal levels and then there are optimal levels. My T3/T4/TSH levels were always within the "normal" range but not optimal, however I (or my doctor) did not realize it at the time. I'm the opposite of you - I started TRT before thyroid meds, and I've since wondered if I started...

80mg/day, prescribed through insurance. Regarding the other potential benefits you listed, I did not experience any of them. That doesn't mean they weren't there, but I did not notice any improvement in those areas.

    Question about t3 and t4

I had the same question. My doctors answer was that there may be something else that T4 does that is beneficial, so may as well keep it within the normal range.

Waking up to urinate 2 or 3 times during the night?

I've decided I'm going to give Metformin a try. My glucose is always around 100 and HA1c is 5.5 - 5.6. From what I've read Metformin also has "life extension" benefits. A very interesting drug, and if it can extend my life while lowering my frequency of nighttime urination, then I will be...

Waking up to urinate 2 or 3 times during the night?

You check your blood sugar? Mine has been at the upper end of the range (glucose and HA1C) for years and I also pee more than once/night. Sometimes as much as 3 or 4 times. I read recently that high blood sugar may be the culprit. I've ruled everything else out. I am looking into Metformin now.

    Statin use

I was on Lipitor for years and because of it I always had a mild lower back ache. No matter what I did regarding diet/weight/exercise I was unable to get my Cholesterol numbers within a good range. Huberman Podcast - Use TRT with Prolactin mitigation, stopping AIs, and Importance of Estrogen and the Brain

Interesting. My Prolactin levels doubled since starting TRT about 3 years ago from approx 5 to anywhere from 8-12 [labcorp range of 4 - 15]. I have noticed my memory is not what it used to be.

I'm already taking Citrate and Glycinate. I don't want to add any more pills/potions to my routine and thought getting the "different" magnesium's in a single pill would be convenient. But I'll keep things as they are. Thanks for the advice.

Considering starting TRT although levels are not "clinically low" Feedback would be appreciated

Have you checked your thyroid levels? In a nutshell - I started TRT a few years ago at 56yrs old due to fatigue and brain fog. After a few months on TRT I still wasn't feeling great and luckily found a doctor that understood the thyroid. All my thyroid lab levels were "within range" but...

    Acclimation to Thyroid Supplementation

To make a long story not so long . . . And I didn't know any better at the...

    Acclimation to Thyroid Supplementation

My lipid profile is similar now to what it was pre-T3, but I no longer take Lipitor. So I feel pretty good about where things stand. Over the last year my LDL runs high and has been averaging 140 [60-99]. And my HDL runs low at about 55 [40-125]. But I'd rather live with those numbers and...

I tried Trazadone recently at the advice of a friend. He said 25mg lets him sleep soundly.
