    Daily Injections of Testosterone

Is everyone injecting sq when switching to daily injections? I prefer shallow IM on my current schedule but am wondering I would need to switch to sq for the daily shots.

I'm not sure I understand what you mean by system quirk. The DHT range or the insurance?

Canadian With Questions on Daily Injections

To a certain extent. The biggest difference I've noticed has been libido improving. I use to have trouble maintaining an erection during intercourse but for the most part that's been resolved. Erection quality however still remains a problem. Cialis helps but unfortunately my insurance will...

Canadian With Questions on Daily Injections

Thanks Vince. I assume the troughs will be shallower than if the injections were spread further apart? I did have my SHBG checked once before starting and once after. I'll have a look for the numbers as well as posting my most recent bloodwork.

Canadian With Questions on Daily Injections

I inject 42mg E3D and am curious about ED injections. Just a few questions: 1. Since I draw blood on trough day (gives me lowest totals of the week) Wouldn't an ED injection numbers alarm my doc? I'm assuming the numbers would be somewhere between the peak and trough which would be...

    Hair Laser Removal

My wife doesn't take hormones but she still has hair growth despite regular treatments. I think a lot has to do with how hairy you are to start with, the colour of your hair and skin, and how course the hair is.

Natural Testosterone Levels vs TRT Testosterone Levels

Absolutely someone on TRT measuring at 600 would make more gains than if that same person's natural levels were at 600. Their average levels would be higher than 600 over the week while on TRT whereas 600 would be their peak if natural. This leads me to a question I've always asked myself...

    gaining weight

Same as Vince. I gained what I would assume was water weight in the initial stages of TRT but returned to normal after a couple of months.

    Nagging, persistent joint pain.

While I may have increased in strength I did not increase the weights I used. I had been training for over 20 years and while the rep range and weight loads vary, I have not tried to lift heavier in any of the exercises I do. So my pain/injuries can not be associated with increase muscle...

    Nagging, persistent joint pain.

Man your back/si/psoas and shoulder story is a mirror of mine. I've been on trt for just over 2 years and while I've always had off and on shoulder and back issues, they've really intensified since being on T. Last year I had surgery on my right shoulder to repair a torn labrum, torn rotator...

What is the Function of Sex Hormone Binding Globulin SHBG?

Thanks Vince. Any idea how smaller more frequent injections effect DHT, free, and bio available T? I'd like to keep these in check.

What is the Function of Sex Hormone Binding Globulin SHBG?

Men with low SHBG seem to have trouble getting total T up yet usually have high bio available/free T. Is that because the SBHG prevents T from being metabolized? I remember reading somewhere that unbound T has a very short half life. That would mean that our high free/bio available T looks good...

    High albumin?

I've been on TRT for roughly 2 years and we're having a lot of trouble dialing things in. My doctor won't prescribe anything other than T so we've been just adjusting my dose. My last blood work shows mid free test levels but over range bio available. From what I understand this means I have...

    High bioavailable and dht

For those with above range TT/FT/Bio Available T do you have any trouble convincing your doctor that this is a good thing if all your other values are in a good place?

    High bioavailable and dht

Yes it wasn't easy finding a doctor willing to start me on TRT so I'm hesitant to suggest changes that I'd like to see. I don't want to risk him telling me to find someone else.

    High bioavailable and dht

Most posts on here refer to TT but my doctor insists that bio available T is what we should be focusing on. Thoughts?

    High bioavailable and dht

While I do believe that increasing my dose and frequency of injection would raise my total T, I am concern that it would also raise my bio available and dht by the similar amounts. Since I'm already over the high end of the range in both, I would imagine I would be off the charts if I managed...

    High bioavailable and dht

Wouldn't increasing my dose also result in a further increase in bio available and dht? Anyway my doctor would not agree to increase my dose since I'm already over range with my bio available. He's already strongly suggested that we lower the dose. While trt has greatly improved my mood and...

    High bioavailable and dht

Thanks. PSA results came back well in range. In my case I my total T and free T are both more or less midrange. It's only my bioavailable T this is upper end. So which of the 3 is most important to dial in, total t, free t or bioavailable T?

Currently injecting 45 mg e3d (100 mg weekly) via shallow IM (alternating between glutes and delts). Latest labs look good except for my bioavailable and dht. Total T 13.3 nnmol/L (6.0-27.0) or 383 ng/dL Free T 492 pmol/L (196-636) or 38.23 ng/dL Bioavailable 12.5 nmol/L (3.6-11.2) or 360.2...

Acne on TRT. Does it get better?

I think the answer is no. I've been on for about 2 years and still get acne. It's quite embarrassing considering most of us are into our 40's and beyond. Until you find the cause of it I don't think it goes away. It's either something you put up with or manage.

Hesitant to increase dose on doctor's recommendation

I'm glad that you found a balance. I unfortunately still show signs of low T and my blood work confirms how I feel. So I have to decide whether to accept the sides of using a higher dose or be content with the way I currently feel.

Hesitant to increase dose on doctor's recommendation

James may I ask what your total T was after lowering your does? Did it still keep you in the optimal/acceptable range? Are you still getting the positive effects of T even though your dose has been lowered?

Hesitant to increase dose on doctor's recommendation

I'm also roughly 10% so I know what you mean by the dieting and cardio. Luckily I haven't had an issue with the site reactions, bleeding, or bruising so far with sub Q. I'm curious if you've ever given sub Q a try and if you did why you didn't continue?

Hesitant to increase dose on doctor's recommendation

Actually Nelson do you think that using a 26 guage 5/16 needle would be too short for an IM injection in the shoulder? I ask because I have purchased 2 boxes of these and don't know what to do with them if I changed from subq injections. I'm also curious what your BF% is. You my man are in...

Hesitant to increase dose on doctor's recommendation

Unfortunately for me my first go around with T caused significant cystic and nodular acne and I was referred to a dermatologist. I was put on 80 mg of accutane daily for 7 months. I'm not going to get into it but it was a horrible experience and I would never recommend this course to anyone. I...

Hesitant to increase dose on doctor's recommendation

I should have been more clear. Although it was suggested to increase my dose to 150 mg/week, I'd be doing so by injecting 42 mg EOD subq. The purpose would be to reduce scarring of IM injections and to reduce aromatase activity.

Hesitant to increase dose on doctor's recommendation

Newbie here. I'm 38 and started TRT about 5 months ago. Before starting my levels ranged from 235-255ng/dl. I started injecting 60mg IM of test cyp every 4 days (105mg weekly). After 3 months my levels increased to 380 ng/dl. Since I'm still having some trouble with focus, mood, and libido...
