What is the difference between cream vs. gel? I recall seeing a video by Dr. Crisler stating creams are for girls and gels are for men.

@Dr Justin Saya, MD Thanks for the information. That looks like a reasonable option. My RX plan covers generic Androgel 50MG (1%) for $25/month. Looks like compound is more affordable if higher dosage is needed. Does Gels typically cause higher DHT and E compared to Injections?

Thanks. Not crazy about the thought of self injections then to think I would need to inject T twice per week then HCG a few times a week seems like a lot of needle sticking.

Vince, is the potential transfer to loved ones limited to a certain number of hours after applying gel?

I was just listening to a recent podcast with Dr. Crisler. He mentioned ideally he prefers men to be on T-Gel along with a daily shot of HCG or EOD. Is there anyone in this forum that is currently on a gel and seeing good results? Also, anyone know what the cost of Gel through Defy?

This forum has been very educational. For someone just learning about TRT (not yet on it but considering), which two books would you recommend they read on the subject?

Jay, if I go the HRT route, which I am strongly considering, I certainly will not have my GP handle the treatment. I totally agree with you, best to have a specialist handle. I was just trying to get as much done through the GP to get insurance to cover as much as the upfront cost as possible.

Its just amazing how many doctors are just not educated in this area. Overall, she is a really good doctor. During physical she spends at least 20 - 30 minutes for her exam. Most doctors have you in and out in 5 minutes. Just wish she was educated in this area. I must admit starting TRT does...
