Article: Sleep is Anabolic- By Dr Mauro Di Pasquale

Good article. Had a few tips. Sleep is one of those things though. I can control what I eat and how hard I work out, but hard to make myself not wake up in the night. Low life stress and pre-bed activities make a difference for me, and the others, and not drinking too much liquids before bed.

    A low-carb diet for beginners

Thanks for posting Vince. Good point Nash and a bit of a peeve of mine with many of the low carb articles. IMO, there is a difference between carbs. Sugars, finally ground processed grains, high starch, alcohol carbs are not the same as oats and stone ground (non-fine) grains, sweet...

TRT, Low Ferritin, Possible Iron Deficiency Anemia

I agree with blackhawk. IMO, the donations depleted your ferritin. My ferritin was over 450 and it is now less than 50. Took 1.5 years of donations monthly and then every two months. For you it will be a balancing challenge to maintain ferritin levels high enough to have suitable iron stores...

TRT, Low Ferritin, Possible Iron Deficiency Anemia

IMO, definitely low iron. My hematologist does not wants me to drop below ~ 50. I am probably a bit below that (finally) and have stopped donating. Don't go overboard with the supplements. Increasing or decreasing ferritin is a slow process. Stop donating but watch your htc.

    Band Training For Older Guys

Thanks I will try that. I learned some other shoulder stretches from a trainer and those help so I dot think proper stretching of the rotor cuff can help.

    Coronary Calcium Scan

Use caution with CT scans. CTs emits a powerful dose of radiation, in some cases equivalent to about 200 chest X-rays, or the amount most people would be exposed to from natural sources over seven years.

    Band Training For Older Guys

Seem way too expensive to use bands - look at your arms - if my arms got to be that size I would have to buy new shirts, would cost a fortune. Joking aside, I have shoulder issues and have stopped doing lifts that lock my arms into position. For example, I use barbells for bench press...

Why It Is Harder To Add Muscle Mass As We Age?

I agree with that. It is often my limiting factor and can control what lifts I can do. Why do you believe or find that bands are easier on the joints?

Switching from gel to injections - only given single dose vials

Re preloading syringes, I asked this once and was told it was probably fine but it increases the risk of infection and that some T may have a carrier oil or preservative that could affect the plunger or syringe. Just parroting back what another said in a post. I don't preload since filling a...

E2 Levels in Healthy Young Men

Thanks Sean. With people concerned about AI in the 40's I was wondering if that is normal for higher T levels, such as with young health males.

E2 Levels in Healthy Young Men

Anyone seen data on E2 sensitive test levels in healthy young men? If they have high T levels, and T converts to E2, it would be interesting to know their E2 levels. Seems like easy data to get - just a blood test.

    9 month labs, E2 high

Might reconsider dropping your T dose a bit. Doubt you would feel a difference between T levels 850 compared to 970 and could be enough to drop your E2 so that you don't need to take more drugs. Many people like E2 a bit higher. Your current T levels over over 1100 probably don't need to be...

Switching from gel to injections - only given single dose vials

Agreed. Go 100 mg per week (I did that for a bit and it was not that bad) and yes you can reuse the vile for the second shot after your first puncture, but I would verify it has 'stuff' in it to help stop bacteria after your first puncture. Most people use the 10 ml bottles for 90 days. I use...

    Steroid Users Performing Self-Phlebotomies

I give blood all the time. It is not very complicated. Stick a needle in, drain some blood, pull the needle. One place I went just had a needle, tubing, and 1 unit sized vacuum bottle. That being said, would not want to be doing it my garage.

Different schools of thought between doctors

Dr Saya - If you have time, I have a question. It seems that most General Practice Dr. who do prescribe T go with what seems to be an off the shelf / by the book dose (often 100 mg every 2 weeks). Is there a manual or guide that comes with medicine or the practice that Dr use to prescribe? I...

5 year T study shows improvements in lipids, blood pressure, and blood glucose levels

In my opinion, this is at least half the reason. TRT gives me the energy and motivation to work out and eat better, which in turn leads to further improvements.

Case Study: Priapism Caused by Synthetic Cannabinoids?

Very odd. Synthetic cannabinoids is usually just an organic material sprayed with chemicals. It has nothing in common with real cannabis other than the name. Pretty messed up side effect - people who use this synthetic stuff are not the brightest and who know what else was on the stuff and...

Is TRT for Optimal Results worth it?

To the OP, it is easy for me to say because I have more hair than I need or want, but personally, I would shave my head before taking drugs to address it. Look at Vin Deisal, the Rock, and others. Kinda a cool look.

Is TRT for Optimal Results worth it?

Agreed. If you are feeling good at your current T level, no reason to change. Many men feel good at various T levels.

Very Worried - Potential Cardiac Issues & TRT

I think this is important. IMO, anxiety is a part of your brain tricking other parts of your brain and your body into thinking something that is not true. The key is to find the cause of the anxiety, understand it, accept it, and live with it. By doing this, the anxiety is reduced. A good...

Is doctor being totally honest with me

I think your Dr is being honest. Your T is in range on the lab test range. That range includes many people who feel poor and the elder population. Everyone is different. Some people feel fine with T at 400, other's feel poor. How can you convince your Dr. IMO, your best bet is to keep...

Can Marijuana Increase Estradiol and Contribute to Man Boobs (Gynecomastia)?

I am suspect of any older cannabis studies without knowing the funding and background of the study. The U.S. government has lied about cannabis for decades. I would certainly not rely on any studies from the 1970's. Fortunately more research is occurring which will provide accurate...

    TRT without AI

Weekly dose ~ 90 mg Total T in trough - ~ 670 Injections every 3 days Sensitive E2 - between 36 and 40 No AI Seem to feel fine. Not sure if I would feel better or worse if number changed. I feel better than I did before starting TRT.

    Pot and Alcohol and Testosterone

Agree. I believe cannabis and alcohol do not interfere with TRT, beyond any effect that it may have with your body, as you already recite. To the extent those drugs, or any drugs, may interfere with your body, that will not change. I did read an article that said cannabis can lower T...

Labs coming up. Have to stop HCG

Boatdriver, this is just my non-medical opinion. I would stop several weeks before. No good will come from having your military record reflect you are taking medications without a rx. Once you start back up and get to steady state, I would get labs from discountedlabs, assuming those are kept...

    Cypionate Carrier Oil Allergy?

A bit off topic, but my last bottle of Test Cyp (Sun Brand) is less viscous that all my prior bottles. I don't know why but wonder if it is a different carrier oil. I have not had any reaction. I am able to easily draw and inject with a 29G instead of a 28G needle, which was as high as I could...

Is My E2 High Enough for Symptoms? Could I benefit from small dose AI?

The the sensative E2 test with DiscountedLabs. Also, wait until your levels stablize. 7 days after change is too soon. Doctors are smart, but often have poor logic. Why get the Estradiol test but not the right one? Why prescribe an AI if don't know E2?

High Reps vs Low Reps: The Science

Dude, without agreeing or disagreeing to anything you said, your focus is on strength. As I understood Will's post, it had to do with hypertrophy which relates to size. At this phase in my life, I am less concerned with strength. My days of playing football, carrying a fridge down the stairs...

Question for guys doing high dose cypionate

Good Input Mr. Carter. I try to keep track in my head about the problems people have based on forum posts (mostly so I can avoid problems) and it does seem like most of the issues are E2 (too high or crashed, emotional issues), hypocrite (too high or too many donations), or gynecomastia...
