How much does Estradiol generally vary between injections?

How much testosterone are you injecting? Is your protocol stable? Are you using hcg? If so, how much? How much body fat? No AI? Mid-ranfe SHBG...meaning? Little in this game is linear. E follows T: your trough testosterone reading is not necessarily coincident with your trough estradiol value.

Low Testosterone saving a marriage ???

I know of a man who, once TRT restored his libido, began to use the services of high-end escorts and utterly destroyed his marriage. Of course, I know many men who swear TRT enhanced their marriages. I am one of those men.

SelectMDX Prostate Cancer Screening Rather Than Biopsy

Thanks, @Orrin Israel. Intend to review your threads on prostate as I recall they were full of information.

Scrotal Cream absorption in relation to dosage applied - seems high

She said it was back-of-the-envelope, but promised to give me her notes as she’s regularly provided material for the Forum over the past four years. I need to remind her,

Scrotal Cream absorption in relation to dosage applied - seems high

Anecdotally, my doctor remarked that in her practice she sees scrotal absorption averaging between 40-50%.

SelectMDX Prostate Cancer Screening Rather Than Biopsy

I’m 61, and saw my PSA double in 15 months. Still below the magic number, 4.0, but the upward rise startled my urologist. I’ve dealt with LUTS off and on, so - in all honesty - I didn’t see a need to blow whistles and fire rockets. I certainly understand the negatives associated with prostate...

    Prolactin and premature ejaculation

No, I honestly don’t. My own doctor told me she never prescribes cabergoline unless prolactin is well outside the upper range. We’ve had members who convinced their doctor to intervene, to give them cabergoline when their prolactinvalues were in range, or only slightly outside the upper range...

SelectMDX Prostate Cancer Screening Rather Than Biopsy

A “puzzling” velocity rise in my PSA over the last 15 months prompted my urologist to utter the word, “biopsy.” I responded, “SelectMDX,” the reasonably new, non-invasive urine test that tracks two bio-markers and can rule out prostrate cancer with an extremely high degree of certainty. We...

    Prolactin and premature ejaculation

Your doctor is prudent in not prescribing cabergoline if you’re posting a prolactin value of 12 with an upper range of 15. Just as truly elevated prolactin is to be avoided, you also want to avoid hammering it into the basement.

    Enlarged Liver

On the basis of my own (yes, anecdotal) experience, I’d echo what Bernie wrote. Six years ago I was told an ultrasound revealed an enlarged liver. Like you, the enzymes were in a solid place and had no other issues. That’s the same story today. I was told not to worry and I (largely) haven’t...

How long till levels reach optimum?

I would correct one of your statements. Labs certainly ARE a major thing, but they must be interpreted in light of subjective response. A TRT protocol without proper labwork is like driving across the country at night without headlights. You may be going in the right direction, but you have no...

Wife Will Be Starting HRT This Week But Worried About Risks.

You had a consultation with a member of Defy’s medical staff. In other words, you spoke to someone with the knowledge to help you and your wife through a medical maze. You didn’t turn to a fly-by-night, back-alley medical outfit. You presumably had an opportunity to ask questions and give voice...

Why is estradiol important for men?

We’ve threads going back three or four years on the posssible role the so-called T:E ratio may play in balancing a man’s protocol. Like every other metric, it is suggestive - it is not diagnostic. When it is combined with all other lab values, patient’s subjective response to treatment, and the...

Thinking of stopping my AI. Thoughts.

Thank you - your closing sentence is a rational response. I know of other members here who have found they feel better off with an AI, and that’s all they need to know.

doctors on e2 (don’t worry about it)

Excelmale has been raising the question of anastrozole being prescribed too readily for over three years. As I say (over and over again), anastrozole is a good drug and one that some men find they must incorporate in their protocol. Are you one of them? Without more information we don’t know...

    Starting TRT today...couple of questions

This is a protocol waiting to plunge you into hormone hell. Why in the world did he prescribe 3mg of anastrozole a week??? If you were a woman, recovering from breast cancer, maybe. Even with elevated e2 prior to the initiation of therapy, that much anastrozole will send your estradiol levels to...

Thinking of stopping my AI. Thoughts.

I think I umderstand your curiosity. I have never used an AI and reduced my elevated e2 was lowered with protocol manipulation. The fewer elements in the protocol the better. But...the goal is to feel good. And you do.

    Varicocele and low t

    Varicocele and low t

What, other than time and a bit of money, do you risk losing by determining if you’re dealing with a varicocele? You aren’t scheduling surgery right from the start. I’d explore this - particularly since you have a history with a urologist.

    First impression since starting TRT

This is all very good and encouraging. Don’t be surprised if, reasonably soon, your journey on the TRT highway gets a bit bumpy. Your endogenous testosterone, low as it might be, isn’t fully shit down and your pumping 10mg of exogenous testosterone in every day. Happiness. The dialing in...

Thinking of stopping my AI. Thoughts.

A bit over the top, I would say. Never having taken an AI, I’m not emotionally invested in this argument. I am of the opinion, however, that anastrozole is a drug that some men do find it necessary to incorporate in their regimen to achieve success. Probably prescribed too often, may be...

Thinking of stopping my AI. Thoughts.

Your labs look good and you “feel totally fine.” Why change anything? Enjoy the benefits of a successful protocol. If, down the road, a change is indicated you can adjust at that point. I have never taken an AI and, five years in, have had terrific success. If, however, I was taking a...

Getting initial tests for low T?

You live within walking distance of one of the finest male health centres in the US (I live in Canada, I am not a patient) - Defy Medical. Yes they are a site sponsor; no, that doesn't influence my endorsement. They treat many of our members. Look into them.
