Pornography use has become mainstream in various societies with diverse backgrounds, with estimates that 60% of men and 35% of women have viewed pornography at some point in the last year. Typically, men have more favorable attitudes toward pornography and view it more frequently than women. Among young adults, 87% of men and 31% of women reported using pornography, but 67% of men and 49% of women rated pornography use as acceptable. Interestingly, current research has demonstrated an impact on sexual health and sexuality. In this webinar, we will comprehensively evaluate the impact of pornography on men's and women's sexuality and sexual health and its broader implications.

Pornography is a killer of the soul and also of a healthy sex life. It definitely harmed me and I allowed it to put me in bad situations and developed sexual addiction issues. After intense counseling, I have beaten this back for over 5 years now. Don’t play with fire men. Just be with the one you love and be present and not in some weird sexual fantasy world.

One of the very few advantages of age is the wisdom that comes from experience... ;)

Once upon a time, to watch a porn movie required traveling to the worst part of town and sit in a dirty, smelly theatre full of perverts. Or, if you happened to know someone with reels of film you could watch it there. Either way, you were not alone so it was an odd experience that was not very sexy. Now... I grew up in Las Vegas where there was very little regard for moral values and those establishments existed in the shadows of the high-rise casinos. These were not places you wanted to frequent, so most people avoided them.

As a young man, I was a Penthouse Magazine subscriber. Playboy just wasn't quite enough (for obvious reasons). That was the extent of my exposure to what I would refer to as erotica at that time. Of course, you could call it porn as it involves naked females. It wasn't until the 80's and VCR's that porn became more mainstream. We all (all of us old guys) remember the "back room of video shops"... I remember Ginger Lynn, Christy Canyon and a multitude of other amazingly hot women. That was an intoxicating time... And I indulged, a lot ;)

I stopped indulging about the same time I stopped doing illicit drugs like cocaine and other things because the realization that it was pure poison, the same as the other addictive substances hit me hard. It was changing my perceptions and dulling my senses. It's a sickness like cancer that spreads and destroys your soul. I am not in any way religious, so my reference to soul is not connected to any religious beliefs.

Fast forward to modern times where porn has become mainstream and almost impossible to shield yourself from. Children are subjected to it as they are on the internet, social media and even in your freaking email. Young men are subjected to images of unbelievable things that create a false sense of reality that warps their perceptions. Young women are on cam sites and Only Fans exposing themselves as if it was just a normal thing.

Lost is the mystery, the wonder, the excitement of getting to know and experience true, honest and natural human sexuality. It's a disease, and it is spreading.

I have had dozens and dozens of conversations with guys on these forums over the years who are complaining about a loss of libido, ED and a variety of other sexual issues. One of the first questions I (used) to ask is "what are your porn habits?". They all lie and tell me that they don't watch porn. Well... you aint lying to me... you're lying to yourself and until you face the truth, you are doomed to the potential consequences. The effects porn has on a young and still developing mind are profound. Those neural pathways are going to be ingrained and very difficult to change.
