Thanks, just seemed in the lower end. I'm hypothyroid too.
Your body tightly regulates your iron, and a higher ferritin level doesn’t necessarily increase your serum iron levels.

As far as you being hypothyroid, is that a conclusion based off symptoms alone, or a laboratory values?

I have B12 on the lower end, and I don’t notice the difference between that and mid range, however, I do notice some negative side effects at the top end of the range.

Not all biomarkers need to be at the top of the range.

Labs on the thyroid. Understand about maybe not top end values for everything being better. I do like the idea of improving when possible. It's been awhile in the thyroid labs and the doc is great but does believe within range is "not sick". If I could feel noticeably better I would pursue it.

That's just a lazy way to think about it. The normal ranges were meant as a guide of what might be normal for an individual, because at the end of the day everyone metabolizes stuff differently.

No, I had a 10 ferritin and had to reduce my cypionate. My latest ferritin 125. Yours is great.
Your ferritin raised from 10 to 125 just by reducing your cypionate dose? How long did that take to lower? What cypionate dose did you start and then reduce to? My Ferritin is 7 and was going to get an iron infusion to raise, assuming it is an absorption issue. I tried Vorck protocol to raise Ferritin but for some reason it didn't raise my Ferritin at all.

What symptoms did you have at a ferritin of 7?

I don't think I really have any symptoms. I'm not overly tired, hair seems fine though thinning ever so slightly I think. But I'm only 5 months in on TRT so it could be the DHT tripling impacting hair. I actually don't know what my Ferritin was before TRT, it could have always been low. Iron malabsorption could be from 5 years on 40mg of a PPI too.

Good to hear you're asymptomatic. I've been dealing with low ferritin for months and experienced poor cardio, insomnia, and the brain fog. I quit TRT for over a month and my ferritin went up over 100 but I had the same symptoms so IDK. ‍♂️
