I Haven’t Slept in 4 years. What to Do?

Would a PCP or GP be amenable to prescribing Hydroxyzine for insomnia or should I ask my Psych?

I Haven’t Slept in 4 years. What to Do?

Thank you for the detailed response, @wondering. I will look into HC. I did a thyroid panel early 2020 and a few months ago, did a ton of research to read them and consulted with my Defy doctor. It's not an avenue I'm interested in pursuing anymore. Interestingly, I have been able to sleep...

I Haven’t Slept in 4 years. What to Do?

High E2 really disrupts my sleep, so I use an AI as needed, but just taking the pill has no immediate effect. I used to do edibles because they last longer and kept a vape pen on my bedside table in case I woke up anxious in the middle of the night. Would take a small hit and went right back to...

I Haven’t Slept in 4 years. What to Do?

I've never tried hydrocortisone. Can you explain? Thyroid is normal-to-optimal, did a full panel last year. Pandemic ruined my exercise regimen, but I've been lifting for years. Definitely helps, but not a cure.

I Haven’t Slept in 4 years. What to Do?

First of all, I'm really sorry you're going through this and hope you've found some help. I haven't had good (natural) sleep at any point in my life for a consistent amount of time. I'm 40. Spurts of 6hrs/night here and there. I probably with physiological/neurological delta-wave disruption or...

    Fatigue, anger, swollen ankles, etc.

Wow thank you for taking the time to respond and share what you've found out so far. I really appreciate it. I'm not too worried about the water retention quite yet, it comes and goes and it's mild. What made me consider it was the possibility it was related to the other symptoms and it could...

    Fatigue, anger, swollen ankles, etc.

Fatigue/feeling out of breath subsided after a phlebotomy. Anger/volatile emotions subsided by going back on a daily regimen and reducing my overall weekly dosage to 119mg. Ankle swelling still present...

    Nootropics: Qualia

I tried it. It's incredible. I keep the rest of my bottle on hand for specially busy weeks. But I stopped it because I don't intend on being on a cocktail of supps for the rest of my life.

Need help with sleep management on TRT

***, besides being an anti-inflammatory, is also an anxiolytic. If *** has helped your sleep measurably, it might be worth considering lowering stress and other forms of mental health improvement like exercise, therapy, etc. so you don't rely on supplements long-term. I know for me, I can take...

Does Sleep Apnea Cause Elevated Hematocrit?

I second what fifty said about sleep places pushing CPAP. This happened to me about 5 years ago. If your insurance covers it, by all means give it a shot, but it's incredible how quickly they push you palliative devices without even looking at underlying causes.

Therapeutic Phlebotomy Places in the United States for Men on TRT

112mg Cyp/week (16mg daily). I'm due for labs in about a month, haven't checked since I started CPAP. It's likely it will help some, but HCT has consistently gone up since I started TRT so I don't think apnea is the culprit.

Therapeutic Phlebotomy Places in the United States for Men on TRT

I ended up finding a mobile phlebotomist/lab that services the Bay Area but they're quite pricey and I suspect this will be a 2-3x/year thing for me. My Kaiser doctor is not cooperative. His response is I should stop "this aggressive hormone treatment." It's the 2nd Kaiser doctor that has...

Therapeutic Phlebotomy Places in the United States for Men on TRT

I live in San Jose and spent hours on the phone and can’t find a place that does phlebotomy... Can’t donate because I visit Brazil yearly and the area is marked as risk for malaria (ludicrous, but the CDC is paranoid...).
