I posted earlier in this thread, just after starting TRT, and also having experienced libido and ED issues, despite T levels being good, and E levels being reasonable.
My doc tried me on compounded DHEA 25 mg twice daily, and it seems to have worked. Libido is good, and it's great to have that...
I'm in Chicago, but use Defy. It's easy, good pricing, and works well. I find it more convenient than going to a local place, even if I could find someone locally who knows what they are doing.
if you really feel you have to see somebody in person Dr. Crisler is within driving distance in...
The people without insurance are usually the ones who can least afford to pay, and they are charged the most! And good luck trying to find out ahead of time what lab tests or anything else related to conventional medicine is going to cost. (I've tried). The whole system is a joke.
Does anyone have something that seems to work? What does the science tell us on what to look for? Not sure where to start with looking for something.
For me, this is preventative more than anything. My skin is pretty good for someone in their 50's, but I'm hoping to keep it going.
It seems that my question about about free estradiol, and how it might explain my symptoms, was on track. In recent posts on the Facebook Testosterone Replacement group, Dr. Saya and Dr. Crisler from Defy Medical have discussed the availability of a free estradiol test, and how they are...
If you read through the forums, you'll find that most doctors are uninformed and won't prescribe T, in spite of guys having low levels, and symptoms. So the likelihood of getting it prescribed by a non-TRT doc is low, regardless of how you try to play it.
i'd suggest going with a TRT...
New to TRT (2 months in), and problems with both ED and libido, same as before TRT, although feel MUCH better otherwise.
Protocol is compounded T gel with DHEA, and daily HCG.
Still working to get dialed in. T levels are excellent, E2 (sensitive) tested high, and doc put me on...
Interesting.
I'm not sure whether my e2 is too low right now, as nobody else has mentioned symptoms similar to mine (feverish, flushed feelings, and headache). I definitely don't feel crappy, actually I feel great overall, and my energy level is great. And the encouraging thing is my libido...
Based on my reaction, the doc changed my prescription to anastrozole .15 g twice weekly.
It will probably be several days before the new meds arrive from the compounding pharmacy, so I'll let everything stabilize in the meantime, and try again. The headaches are gone and the feverish feeling...
Guys, I appreciate the feedback, but I have no intention of getting rid of Defy or Dr. Crisler.
I'll remind you that e2 was at the very top of the reference range, and symptoms were present.
Estradiol, Sensitive 34.8 pg/mL 8.0 - 35.0 02
I'm very aware of all the warnings and controversy regarding AI. The doc is still trying to get everything dialed in and working right.
Would my symptoms be indicating E2 is dropping too low, or could something else be happening?
New blood work...
My recent TRT history can be found in my other threads, so I won't repeat it here.
Briefly:
I'm about 7 weeks in on TRT.
About a week and a half ago, the Doc (very experienced in TRT), started me on anastrozole with DIM due to Estradiol at the high end of the reference range, and lack of...
