There is a thread somewhere of people claiming that supplementing Arginine or its precursor Citruline lowered their blood pressure.

Note: if you have frequent cold sores, you should not supplement Arginine since it promotes herpes virus replication. Don't take its precursors Citruline or Glutamine either.

Viagra/Cialis also should work.

I personally have a low blood pressure 100/60 and raising it with a high salt diet did not work at all. So blaming dietary salt for a high blood pressure is not always correct.

this is interesting. so the sides of T created BP issues. nandolone alone helped stop it.
I hear more and more positive around nandrolone.
i wish to try NPP powder mixed with dmso totally off T.
might be interesting.
Thats def an interesting one and first time I hear it. For this exact issue I haven't tried deca solo or with a tiny bit of test even though the group that runs deca/nandrolone solo are doing great and have been doing so for many years.

before thinking you know anything about salt and advice people to eat less of it you should try reading this book. plenty of scientific references in it: Amazon.com

A little harsh with the delivery, but overall I agree lol. Quality salt can definitely be very beneficial for a host of bodily functions. But in regards to blood pressure, a lot of time people need more potassium, not less salt, when managing blood pressure issues caused by excess fluid retention. I feel like that’s pretty common knowledge at this point

Citing one book is not proof of anything. Saying the book has "plenty of scientific references" means nothing, as it could easily be cherry-picking. Color me even more skeptical as he comes off as a denialist and conspiracy type:

I've got to add this. It comes from the international Society of Hypertension posted on the American Family of Physicians web site:

A recent review of the Cochrane Study

Here is an earlier review of the Cochrane study

Here is an interesting article about reducing salt:

The problem with these population level studies is that they don't take into account inter-individual differences in their response to salt. Some people are hyper-sensistive to BP changes with salt intake. For others salt has little effect on their BP. A general recommendation to reduce salt intake as a treatment for hypertension makes little sense. A sensible approach would be for a new hypertensive patient to do a short trial of a low salt diet to measure the impact of salt on their BP.
