Unable to control appetite

Prior to TRT I weighed 150 lbs. I was able to stay pretty lean, bodyfat wise (10-12%). If I started to put on weight I was able to create a diet plan and stick to it, down to the calorie and macro.

I have been on TRT for about 2 yrs and I went from 150-215 lbs! I know a lot of it has been muscle but I am also now closer to about 20% BF. I have tried on two separate occasions to cut calories, using the methods that I have in the past and it was just a failure. I get so hungry when I run a deficit that I get dizzy, which never happened before. I even find myself sleep eating.

I have had my thyroid tested twice since I have been on TRT (because I honestly didn't think I was eating that much). Both times it came back in range.

On top of that I am bloated. My stomach is closing in at 40" but it it more like a "beer gut with abs", if that makes sense. Not necessarily flabby. My face is just huge and I can feel it holding water. I take Armidex with my TRT and my estrogen is actually on the low end of the range so I have no idea why I an holding so much water.

Any thoughts?

What is your TRT protocol? Gels or injections and how much and how often?

200 mg/wk test cyp. I break the shot up into twice weekly injections (100 mg each). .5 mg Armidex taken twice per week and 300 IU HCG taken twice per week.

Blood work puts my Total T around 1000-1200 ng/dl with estradiol around 20 pg/ml.

Was that estradiol tested using the ultrasensitive assay? If not, I bet your estradiol is actually much lower than 20 pg/mL

Low estradiol can increase fat mass:

Low blood level of estradiol was associated with significant increases in the percentage of body fat (P<0.001), subcutaneous fat area (P<0.001), and intra abdominal fat area (P = 0.002), and relative less improvement in sexual desire (P<0.001) and erectile function (P = 0.022). These findings provide additional evidence of an independent effect of estradiol on these variables. https://www.excelmale.com/forum/thr...trozole-(Arimidex)-What-Every-Man-Should-Know

Have you got your cortisol tested? High cortisol can cause a huge appetite. Low leptin or leptin resistance can also make someone super hungry. And then there is the stress induced binge eating and eating late at night before going to bed.

Have you tried to increase your fiber intake to have a more full feeling? Are you exercising at least 3 times per week?
