I’m 28, was on injections and hcg for 1.5~2 years with test levels over 1200. Urologist determined I may no longer need exogenous testosterone and I went off injections and onto Clomid for 4 months with the first three being at 25 mg eod and the last month at 12.5 eod. I quit Nov. 6th. My test level was mid 700s on my labs right before I quit Clomid to see if I successfully restarted my HPTA. SHBG was way high out of range at 90 (15-55). Free T was 11 or something, way low. My sensitive e2 was 15 on Clomid which is bothersome because I’ve been having low e2 symptoms since I quit injections. Especially joint pain and tendinitis. I began having joint pain in my wrist, elbow and shoulder all at the same time when I went onto Clomid and it hasn’t lessened. My thoughts were maybe Clomid (which is known to cause high SHBG) was driving up SHBG which was eating up my e2? Not sure.. urologist is of zero help there. My tsh was 2.86 (.4-4.5) on Clomid. Free t3 was 2.6 (2-4.4) My question is, when can I get bloodwork done to see if my Clomid restart was successful? I’ve been off for 3 weeks now. Other q - when should I get thyroid bloodwork done to see if that tsh was a one off or if I need to look into seeing a thyroid specialist My urologist is of little help because she thinks that if I’m within a range, no matter how high or low on that range, then there is nothing to worry about. She didn’t see any issues with my SHBG being 90 which I was surprised by.
