People become depressed for many different reasons. Can you control your negative self talk? Can you accept/forgive/get past any trama's in your present or past? Having someone to talk to someone you look up to and or trust can make all the difference. I suffered from depression out of the blue no triggers and being a mans man I did not seek help until my depression turned to panic attacks then turned to 24/7 panic requiring an emergency room visit and medication 3 times a day I sat in my chair watching the clock so I could take another pill. It was horrible. The next 6 months were spend in medical doctors offices testing. Low T(173) was all that was found. My pcp put me on Testim gel and 2 months later I felt a flicker of my normal self. I also found a Therapist I trusted thru a friends recomendation and discovered the real cause of my depression. Extreme negative self talk, I wasn't even aware I was doing it over things in my past and present that I could not change and it literally took my sanity. I don't know your situation however finding someone you trust to talk can not hurt. hth
