Just curious as to what brand of testosterone everyone is using. Curious how many people are using pharmacy grade vs compounding pharmacy
Has anyone had problems coming from oil based to grape seed?
Iv'e been on WestWard brand test C since I started trt. But now that I'm with Defy I know I can now switch to Empowers compounded Test C in grape seed and save some money. Wondering though if I would be taking a chance and should just stick with what I know works.
I like the idea of switching so I can also switch over to insulin syringes and save money not having to buy syringes and drawing and injecting needles that I buy now.
Weasel - Any differences in blood test results on all those different brands?
You're probably right Vince Carter. I know there's a difference between pharmacy grade and compounding HCG, so was just kind of curious as to people's experience with compounding and pharmacy grade test.
I personally have only used Empower testosterone with grapeseed oil like Vince uses, and it definitely works just fine. My numbers were actually higher than I thought they would be on just 100mg/ week. So no issues with Empower's testosterone cypionate IMO.
Weasel - Your experience matches what I've read from other guys on TRT. Compounding test is usually thinner and easier to inject than pharmacy grade test like Phfizer or Watson. I would assume it's due to the carrier oil they use. Most pharmacy grade brands use cottonseed oil or sesame seed oil, I believe. My test through Empower, which is grapeseed oil, is very thin and very easy to draw up and inject.
You are correct. grapeseed is way thinner than the cottonseed used by phfizer. Why they use cottonseed is beyond me.
Ya empower's test with grape seed not only works really well as far as lab results go, but I use a 27 gauge insulin needle and it draws up and injects very easily. I could probably inject with a 30 gauge if I really wanted to
Also I've read grape seed extract has been known to lower E2, I wonder if grape seed oil can have a similar effect.

This guy claimed to have problems going the other way, from compounded in grapeseed to Watson. He switched back to compounded in grapeseed. Probably worth noting that he admitted it was likely an anomaly and that it didn't seem like anyone else had experienced this.
FWIW I'm very happy with Empower's cyp in grapeseed.
Question though - did you try and were unable to use insulin syringes with Westward cyp? If so, what gauges did you try?
