We Need Your Verdict About EMR

We are comparing electronic medical services that are known to most doctors these days. I used to work at the hospital but that was several years ago. By the way, we just want to hear your verdict about medical software services. My friend and I would want to know the electronic health vendors and their differences. She needs this when she opens her own clinic. We hope you could give us your reviews about it before we finally decide on what to consider.

Do you mean doctors that use a 'tele-medicine' model like Defy Medical, or something else?

Many of us, including myself, have nothing but praise for Defy and the model they use. (Note, I am not affiliated with them in any way - just a patient)

Thank you for your comments and suggestions. While searching online, I came to a link "Healthfusion". It seems a reliable software but I cannot find some information regarding electronic health vendors. Is there a link that you know using the same software? Hope you can help me out. TIA

In a general sense, medical software is a train-wreck. There are very few players and they all have file formats incompatible with the other players so one hospital using Software A cannot 'talk' to another hospital using Software B. It is unlikely to change unless a big player like Apple or Microsoft can bring something to market that is attractive enough to gain a majority market share.

Unless you are looking at something designed for a small practice - like small business software that handles inventory, customer management, billing, etc...Think "Quick Books" for a model.

Honestly, the best EMR I have seen is Practice Fusion.

Practice Fusion is easy to implement and you can send prescriptions from it. Most of the doctors I've worked with (who use it) couldn't be more pleased.
