A few thoughts: Even small amounts if taken without the correct co-factors (K2, A and E) especially K2 could be "too much" but the problem is the lack of K2. An amount that puts your blood levels between 50-80 seems to be the optimal range from what I remember. When I'm not getting much sun, I take 10,000IU 3-4 times per week and that puts my levels right at the bottom of the range around 50. DMSO, BPC patches and the Amish arthritis cream (camphor, menthol, etc.) seemed to help my foot a lot when I had issues which have thankfully all resolved.
