Testosterone Gels and DHT

I have being on TRT since last January.Due to polycytemia (Hgb 19) and repeated plebotomies,i decided to switch intramuscular application, into transdermal and per oss.So now i use two testim gels (am/pm) plus four andriol oily capsules (am/pm),post meal.
The point is that my serum DHT was measured skyhigh (1,500),way above the normal range (<900).On the contrary,my Prostatic Specific Antigen is in optimal level (0.5).
Recently, Dr.John Crisler mentioned, that we should not take under consideration dihydroxytestosterone serum levels.I have concerns, since my father had prostatic enlargment, while one of his brother used finasterine as a result of BPH.His other brother was surgicaly operated due to prostate cancer.Tumors are highly related with medical history evaluation.Any thoughts on that case?

I do believe that there is a direct association between transdermal testosterone application and dihydroxytestosterone.
Skin has receptors for 5a reductase enzyme,so perhaps testim gel would increase DHT serum levels dramaticly.

Understanding Your Hormones

Estradiol (E2)

A form of estrogen produced from testosterone. Important for bone health, mood, and libido. Too high can cause side effects; too low can affect well-being.

DHT

Dihydrotestosterone is a potent androgen derived from testosterone. Affects hair growth, prostate health, and masculinization effects.

Free Testosterone

The biologically active form of testosterone not bound to proteins. Directly available for cellular uptake and biological effects.
